Ok, I'm going with my simulation idea, and your going to play the role (assuming you play the game) of an 18 year old highschool student (you pick the gender, possibly in later patches you also pick hair color/style, and maybe even clothes) you go along with the game, rent an appartment, get a job, buy a car, go to school, basically just live life. the story will develope as you play, and will include some RPG style battles on occasion, possibly go on dates, get a girlfriend or boyfriend, make friends, just live life.
the system isn't quite perfect, especially driving and school. can anyone give me some Ideas on a name for the game, possible things to do at school, ways to make the game better in general? for everyone who gives my an idea to what the name of the game and how I can improve the game overall will also be included in the credits of the game.
thanks for any ideas/comments/CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM in advance.
ALSO: if you want a cameo sort of thing in the game, just say so, and I'll find some way to have you in the game (just request a name, otherwise example: meiscool would be meiscool ingame). one other thing, I have some screenshots
These screenshots have been editted, the text/enemies/characters may or may not appear in the release of 1.0
Fight scene, may or may not appear in game.

For the school, you can actually have classes, like mini short ones with a minute of lectures. Then you take tests and such and try not to fail. Or you can just switch to a blank screen during the lecture, and you're grade will be determained by how much you study.
You should put in an outfit system where you get to change your outfits and everyhing. I don't think the hair and eye color would be a big deal, but I don't like wearing the same thing every day of the year, its gets a little gross after a while.
You should be able to get married and have kids :D

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LECTURE IDEA!! THAT ROCKS!! It may be tweaked lightly, but I will use it.
possibly in future patches of the game you will be able to change hair, eye color, and cloths.
MAYBE (most likely not, but MAYBE) you will have the option of marrying, and growing 10-20 years older, and picking the game up from there, but don't expect it for awhile.

For example, you take all hard classes and get great grades in them, rarely talk to npcs, and you end up in the nerd group. Where as if you fail all of you classes, talk to certain goups of people, take blow off classes, you may have the chance to get into the popular group.
Stuff like that.

social cliques: probably not, but if so, not very soon.
set 15-20 'main' npcs, 8 or so of each gender: very soon, 1.2, 1.3

Just to let you know, failing classes has nothing to do with being popular. It depends on your personality and ambitions.

As for the title, try to have either a plot related title, or Sim in the name. Names for this kind of game off the top of my head:
The Sims
Sim City
Civilization
Bully
Grand Theft Auto
Total War
Keep it short and to the point like Warxe said. I'd just name it "Days" or something.

there is planned to be atleast three moves, punch, kick, and something along the lines of a powershot. all will have special strengths and weaknesses. however fighting will not be too much of a major thing. it'll just be a fun addition to it.
but most likely after you deal with the cobras, you will get a reputation, leading to 'paths' you can choose, like helping people out, or beating the crap out of them for asking for help, which also introduces the possibility of a gym, where you can fight with friends or even a trainer.
the referrence to charas is still available, just ask and I will put a cameo style thing of anyone who asks.

I think you should have the option to join this criminal gang instead.
I don't think a turn based battle would work in this though... ABS would work amazingly well. That way you'd have a greater feeling of freedom too (The freedom to kill bystanders).
If you did impliment a good ABS then vehicles could be upgraded to have weapons too. Think of the GTA style easter eggs!!! There's so much potential in this game. And room for a tank.

Tank: maybe
Beating up passerbies: Not likely, but maybe nonetheless.
GTA: never played it, couldn't easter egg it.
Charas easter egg: dur.
ABS instead of RPG: possible yes, probably, somewhat, once I figure out how you will be able to go into combat mode.
KILLING/Running over passerbies: you wish! :P
plane/ helicopter vehicle: probably
Ability to join the cobra: possible, not yet, but most likely in the future.
