Title: Imagine a community of insane rabid cosplayers......
Post by: Phayre on May 08, 2007, 01:57:08 AM
I felt like sharing the crack-headed-est dream I've had lately...... so....

For some God awful reason, I was with my brother in some institution, exploring, I think. The only problem? Everyone there was cosplaying. They lived in their costumes, day in, day out, and they were all insane. One lady was dressed like Maria from the Sound of Music, and she was fencing with some invisible guy. Another faction had set up a TV with a clip from the Simpsons in a hallway and dubbed it "The Church of Boogie", since Homer kept saying "boogie". scariest of all was the guy in the bathroom. He was dressed as Raphael from Soul Calibur, and he'd occasionally jump out of the shower and ambush me when I knocked on the door, which naturally freaked me out. Only then he decided to "unscare" me by ambush hug (something my best friend does, she sneaks up behind you, screams "AMBUSH HUG!", and attempts to strangle you). Bizarre.
Conclusions drawn:
1. Sound of Music is nightmarish.
2. Still hate the Simpsons.
3. Raphael is one freaky dude, man.
4. ....boogie?

I cannot argue with any of your conclusions, especially your opinion of Raphael.

Mermet de Vec, anyone?

I wonder what Dr. Freud would have to say about all this....

Raphael, freaky?

Raphael's a pansy. Easiet character to beat.

1. Freud would say psuedo-vampires with swords turn me on, and that in my past I was scarred by Homer Simpson in some way because he reminds me of my father. No, that's not rooted in Freud at all, really.

2. Raphael is one freaky pansy man. Freaky does not imply good or even half-decent. Examples:
1. Yami no Matsuei: FREAKY.
2. Chrono Cross: FREAKY.
3. Dirge of Cerberus: FREAKY.
4. Your face: FREAKY. Hahahaha........ *grin*
5. 'The Awakening': FREAKY.

Yeah, I could go on for ages.

And Mermet de Vec is only freaky in the glitch video where he does it upside down. Glitches are inherently kinda freaky.

Raphael can be mean on high difficulty. Unlike many of the characters, Raphael really expands his moveset as you move the difficulty up.

But yeah, he's easy for the most part.

Chrono Trigger sux. The reason my laptop blew up (well crashed and died) was because I was playing that game and the computer over heated and fried and all that crap. Then again, I was playing the game for near 10 hours straight.

Ok ok, Chrono Trigger is uber awesome, but it stilled killed my computer  :(

Wierd dream, I wish I would have weird dreams like that. All my dreams are normal and boring.

I wish there were 12 more chrono trigger games, of equal or greater awesome.
I should get around to playing Chrono Cross one day.
Wasnt somebody reamking chrono Trigger in 3-D? Like a fan remake? I should look into this. Its been a good 6 months since I played the best game ever.

It was canceled after a lawsuit from Enix.

But there was a Snes sequel to CT that was never released... I heard there are roms though.

It was called Radical Dreamers or something in those lines.

I love dreams like that. They're hilarious to look back on, especially since you, subconsious or not, were the one who thought it up.

Based on what you said and my extensive experience with Freud psychology, I'd bet he'd say that your dream meant you were attracted to your father when you were a child, as per the Oedipus and Electra complex.

Pocky sucks.  Its like cosplayer crack but in reality, it tastes like cardboard dipped in a cheap chocolate covering.

Pocky? Okaaaaaaaaaay then. *grabs coconut Pocky* You stay back.
I thought Radical Dreamers was just the song from Chrono Cross. Which, by the way, is far below things like Tales of Destiny in the awesome department. *grin*
I'm trying to think how Freud would seriously think of this, and somehow I highly doubt that "too much Soul Calibur" is adequate...............

Chrono Trigger was awesome for a couple reasons other than its great gameplay and plot.

1) It was the first popular game that had a time travel plot that actually was interesting, in depth, detailed, and fun.

2) First final fantasy styled battle system where character/enemy posistion actually mattered.

3) First RPG with combo attacks, making the character choices you bring with you vital.

4) First RPG with several possible endings... I think 12 in all.

5) Had the most replay value of any RPG of its time.

6) And, to my knowledge, near-first game that had a "Start over with already collected items and experience" mode.

Why you think it sucks, aboutasoandthis, is beyond me.

Mermet de Vec isn't freaky when it's done normally???
Then could someone please explain what non-freaky thing he's doing to his opponent in that move?  'Cause it looks pretty freaky to me....

Chrono Trigger is great, but Cross? *jab*
As for Mermet de Vec.... well, I never thought it was freaky. Then again, I'm a die-hard button masher. ^^

Title: Your Dream Interpreted!
Post by: Musha on May 12, 2007, 01:52:29 AM
Well, according to the online dream interpreter at http://virginatlanticjetset.com/dream/
your dream means the following:

"Clearly you're in love with Maria.  You should tell Maria about your feelings immediately to prevent future tension. The woman, in this context, shows that you deal with obstacles in creative ways. The man's behavior, in this case, represents how you yourself handle your relationships with others. What can you learn from the man's behavior? Your brother represents rivalry that has been cropping up in your relationships with others. Your subconscious is using music in an attempt to bridge the gap between your creative energy and your behavior. You should let your creativity breath more in your waking life.  You desire a more heavenly existence on Earth, but fear that this may be out of your reach. This dream symbolizes your exploration of life and the transition you are making to a new stage in your life. You seek your strength from religion. There is a moral solution to every problem, and this guides your decisions. You feel that you are invisible to those around you. Your talents have largely gone unnoticed, but that is soon to change. Sometimes your life can feel like a television show, filled with predictable behaviors and outcomes."

Post by: Grandy on May 12, 2007, 12:55:45 PM
While not trying to steal the craziest dream award, I did have a crazy dream today:

Basically, I had 2 TVs in my bedroom. Both of them become alive (not walking, just, aware of themselves) and start menacing me for a reason or another. I, then, pull the plug of one, and the other goes "NUUUUUU, BROTHER!" and places a curse upon me: everyone I know who knows how to play a keyboeard would die while swimming. (I guess it was trying to get me, as I play keyboard, so I'd die when swimming.) That wouldn't be much of a bother, weren't for the fact that my class would have a water-polo(or however you say it) later, which is crazy, because my school does not have a swimming pool. Anyway, I told about the TV to one of my friends, and he believed me because "I was right about the vampires in the school roof last month" (which, weirdly enough, is somewhat of a reference to another dream I had a while ago, in which this friend didn't believe me.) So we try to convince everyone who plays a keyboard not to enter the pool, but one of them did, and a sword materialized from the ground and tried to stab his heart, however, I was quicker and pulled him out in time. People were afraid, because what I said was apparently true. I then was walking away, when I noticed someone was injuried, and it was another guy I knew, but I didn't knew he played keyboard. Anyway, he was stabbed by a similar sword, but we managed to take him away from the swimming pool, and took him to the hospital. Me and twop friends of mine went to discuss the matter, and decided to challenge the TV to lift the curse. Upon entering my room, the TV sucked me inside it, but I didn't enter the clichéd "Run through movies" thing. Instead, inside the Tv there was a clown, similar to Sweet Tooth, who was throwing the swords at the simming pool. Upon noticing me, the clown called his friend to beat the **** out of me, and his friends were a french aviator and a Sherlock Holmes- kinda person. They were strangling me, but  then I waked up because my dad called me for breakfast.

And the crazy thing about this dreams is that I have them all the time, AND they aways have a continuation. Meaning, this night I'll most likelly resume from where I stoped being strangled.
I'll let you know the outcome.... if this isn't Freddie playing with me, in which case I'm pretty much screwed.

There were other details that I don't know where they fitted. I remember vaguely a football field, a bathroom and something like that.
