Title: Event overlapping on my side-scroller :(

I've made a minigame on Rm2k where Z attacks and X jumps. Anyway, it works fine and stuff... Apart from the punching. When I punch, a variable turns on for half a second, while it's on, when an enemy is touched, it dies. This all works great. But if I walk over a hole and punch, I hover over it. I think this is because the event of punching prioitises over the event of falling down the hole. Also, when I jump, I can press punch in mid-air and I stop jumping and stay in mid-air. Can someone PPPLLLLEEEAAASE help me? Cheers!

Post pictures of your coding, theres not much we can do if we don't know what your system looks like and how its designed.

Yeah, sorry about that. Here's the picture of the coding when you attack. The coding when you fall down a hole is so simple I'll write it down.

Here is the falling event:

Move event: Move speed up, move down etc.
Variable: HP, -1
Move event: Move speed down
Teleport: Beginning of map

Do you think the events are overlapping? If so, what can I do?  :(

Edit: Anyone alive?
