Don't expect to open rpgmaker xp for the first time and start making your MMORPG right away. You'll need a lot of scripting knowledge.

True, but there are mmorpg scrips out there that you can download, so its not like you'll have to make the whole system with your own scripting. And adding downloaded scripts in rmxp is really easy.
