Title: Changing the in game font
Post by: Dragoon de Sol on June 14, 2007, 03:50:01 AM
I know this doesn't belong here, but I can't access the coding area.

How do I change the in game font? The defaults are good, but I want something different. To be clear:

I AM NOT ASKING FOR A FONT FIX!!!

Thanks ^^

Then duplicate the game folder before you try.

Already did and already tried.

Reshack doesn't work.

There is a way to do it, but it depend on where you got your RPG Maker game from.

If you got your RPG Maker from an Asian site (aka, your fonts are known as RM2000 and RMG2000) you can do it.

If you got your RPG Maker from a European site (aka, your fonts in your font folder are msmincho and mspincho?) then you can't do it. Be careful as the European version also includes the RM2000 and RMG2000 fonts.

If you have the Asian version, go into your Font Folder and delete the RMG2000 font. Then, look on the internet (I recommend Gaming Ground Zero) for a Font you like, and reinstall it.

That should be how to do it. I don't use the Asian version anymore though so I can't change my font now. This is how I did it the first time.
You can also make your own Font from scratch, but I've tried and can't figure it out.
