If it's been on TV I've prolly already seen it.

Elfen Lied: (Gore, Romance, Drama, and Sadness mixed into one.)
Death Note: (I REALLY recommend this one. Suspense Thriller.)
Tenjou Tenge: (Action at its finest! Then after like episode 10 its all drama.)

Also... Fate Stay Night (Action) is really great too. I don't know a single person that's watched the entire series and doesn't think of it as their favorite anime.

Eremertar Gerade is pretty cool too, it is exactly like FSN only a kiddier version.

I think artists in Japan need to stop reusing the SAME METHODS with EVERY CARTOON THEY MAKE. But there are a few gems that I have seen.

Samurai Champloo
Ergo Proxy
Paranoia Agent

Although Im sure you've seen those. These are a little harder to find:

Dead Leaves
Mind Game
Paprika (****ing LOVE IT)
Tokyo Godfathers

Also, just read the Deathnote manga. Its alot better IMHO.

Busou Renkin - Usual anime stuff going on. Fighting monsters, etc, etc.
Death Note - Yes.
Disgaea - Only if you're fan of the video game.
Devil May Cry the Animation - I'm betting on this one because it's from the same guys who made Death Note.

For movies:
Steamboy - Great Animation, cool gadgets.
Tokyo Godfathers - Great story.
Metoroporisu (Osamu Tezuka's "Metropolis") - Great story, great animation, great gadgets, has the best scene in animation yet IMO.

and I few kid ones like Kiki's Delivery Service.. it came on HBO once.

Yuyu's movies...of course DBZ...look at my Ava, I'm a loyal DBZ know it all fan. =D

and Read or Die movie... Other than that I haven't seen that many...

Has anyone ever seen the Power Stone Anime? Was it any good?

I tried watchin fate stay night but.. yeah.. I kinda got bored.. and I tried watching blood plus but it didn't catch my attention.. yet.. the movie was great tho. Samurai champoo is great and so is samurai deeper kyo? I think I got the last word wrong.. I haven't been watching it faithfully. And vandread was nice too.. But you've prolly seen these already :P

Indeed Toonami was corrupted. Look how they faked Tom up. Geez.

THere's however a channel in the Sky satellite network that has Anime 24/7, with an actual Japanese audio alternate.

they started a new season according to Adult Swim but they canceled the project so that's the ending =D

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle - For if you like Kingdom Hearts-ish plots. This anime, as far as I have watched, grabs characters from many animes around there and crossover everything. Yaaay. I love it.
As far, I've chequed Card Captor Sakura characters, xxxHolic characters, Magic Knight Rayearth characters, and Chobits characters. Plusm some others I saw somewhere but can't remember where.

Besides, it's basically Kingdom Hearts, yes, only with less famous characters. I mean, "travel through many worlds to ------" is KH-ish.

Yes awesome. Cause the Manga and Anime (Chobits) were actually pretty good and corrected my view on such anime.

lol, kidding--that's your opinion (personally, I love X, but it's a little too bloody, even for a girl's series, which it is).

Another vote for GTO!! What I wouldn't give to be a student of Ekichi Onizuka...lol

From what I heard, the Tsubasa anime is inferior to the manga, but I wouldn't know, seeing as I haven't seen either.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is odd, that's for sure, but it's an eclectic mix of great cinematics, sarcastic comedy, and hilarious high-school antics. It's a really unique anime, and a must-see, IMO.

Umm...Black Lagoon is also good, made by the makers of Cowboy Bebop. That, and the main girl is sexy. ^_^
