SO I tried my hand at using a sprite sheet to make a charset. I tested it, by when he walks it looks like he's skipping, and its even more exaggerated in the running one. The bike looks nice in game so I'm happy with that, but I didn't really test everything else.

just lower the 2 side ones so that will make his head the same size so it wont look like hes skipping

Pokémon Opener.
Featuring the title screen song from Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby.
Its not completely done yet, still needs a bit more percussion...
-
Ehhhh..... not thrilled with the MIDI. At all. All the extra stuff is distracting......
Why not just nab from VGMusic, if you're going for a truer sounding Pokemon music? I know original is good, but....
-
its an arr. i did for fun. a marchin band one. Much like the ff7 ones i have in my post a midi thread.
-
Ah, I see.
I still think the extraneous stuff is a bit much. Maybe the percussion will help?
-
i still have quite a bit percussion wise...
bass drum...
tenor drum...
Does anyone have some advice on how to make tenor drum and bass drum parts? I had found something... but... they don't work that well...
-
Well. I'm done with the opener. I do have some triplet things I have to fix up... (they sound the same, it just looks nicer and less OMG. LOOK AT THAT. THAT WILL BE SO HARD. --pokes trombone and flute parts)
i know it still might now have the feel to it...
BTW -- this is from Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby. (the title music) I was going to do one for red and blue, but I found it hard because there aren't as many instruments. :p
So, I may upload some of the loan instrument parts too if anyone wants to hear them(tell me which one of course).
There's
-Flute
-Clarinet
-Alto Sax
-Tenor Sax
-Trumpet
-Mellophone
-Trombone
-Baritone (same as Trombone part)
-Tuba (pretty much just the trombone and baritone part an octave lower)
-Snare Drum
-Tenor Drums
-Bass Drums
-Cymbals
-Timpani
-Vibraphone (Vibes)
-Keyboard/Sythesizer (I change the instrument to the Vibes for the midi, but to hear the part itself, I'll change it back)
Ok. So here it is. Pokémon Opener. (Completed! yay!)
