The game takes place 100yrs after the show....so far.. I'm sure they'll change it to like 500 to 1000yrs...

I love DBZ this stupid game better not suck!!!

Because what's a DB game without lots of yelling and jibber-jabber about power levels and super awesome transformations that suddenly suck a few episodes after they're achieved?

All kidding aside...

I really am looking forward to this, to be honest. At least it's a DBZ game that isn't a cheap SFEX-wannabe mashfest (Budokai series), a lukewarm Gauntlet clone that has lots of glitches (Sagas (I once fell through the ground and ended up in a zero-grav blank room where Piccolo had a ton of afterimages, or a bad drug trip)) or *shudder* an RM fangame where everybody swears. A lot (COUNTLESS FANGAMES).

EDIT: Thanks for reminding me, Darkfox. Can't forget the hair. The longer your hair, the more powerful you are and the larger your blimp-blast attack is. Unless, of course, you're not a mystical space monkey person who can fly.

I had thought DBZ had finally died. Silly me. There was a joke in an anime magazine once, about the events predicted for the next year? My favorite? The creator of Dragonball etc. dies tragically, having at last drowned in his own money.

He didn't even WANT to do the series after Goku died on Namek, along with Freiza.

Who would? That ended the best show ever right there. Then it became a big waste of thirty minutes.

I used to wake up each morning before school and watch it, then after that episode, I lost interest RAPIDLY.

That is the best fighting game ever made.
I can't wait for number three which will have online play.
Which is the one everyone is thinking about as far as the online console dbz game.

There's also a Dragonball game coming out on PS2.
from what I read about it the game play will be like Viewtiful Joe.

The Jap version doesn't have so much screaming and ah'ing as the Englishing one.. still a lot tho...

I dunno. The first fragonball was sweet too. it was fun. DBZ is shitty in that its trying not to be shitty but still being shitty. First season was decent.

@Rev: People could just punch you out of it during the five minutes it'll probably take to do any move that has dialogue. I don't see the use of a scream skill since that's all the dialogue in DBZ was.

As a kid, for me atleast, voltron was THE ****. He was such a badass, always kicking *** left and right.

I watch it now and its the lamest show I've ever seen. Corny dialouge, terrible art/animation, it just sucks.

Thats DBZ.
Minus the art/animation part.
But everyone knows the last good thing that came out of that guys *** was the Chrono Trigger artwork.

Anyhoe, not all games based on shows are bad.

For one, DBZ Budokai 3 is an awesome example of a fighting game and well worth it checking it out.

Personally, I'd like to check it out of it's a fighting MMO.
