I may be back from time to time, but I'm going to be gone for a few months. See, my brother died a few days ago. I wasn't surprised when I heard the news, only sad. Mom and dad have taken the loss really hard though and I'm flying up to see them. I'll be there for the better part of the year, and I don't think I'll be able to bring myself near a computer.
It's too bad that it had to end this way, but.....
Well, goodbye and may your summer not be as terrible as this one is.

I'm not sure what to say to this except I'm sorry. Having just lost someone as well, I know that means less than nothing, but.... what else ca I do? Good luck out there, man. Come back sometime and say hi....

Oh, I'll be back. Maybe. I just need time to go through everything with my parents. I mean, I'll miss my brother of course, but I can't say I'm overly surprised he died. And as far as the country's concerned, he's another number. Ugh, I hate George W. Bush.

Seeya and good luck with the future. Being with your parents is a thoughtful thing (and presumably you're leaving behind friends and stuff) so well done for that decision.
