S'been rad....I guess.
We laughed, we cried.
Some of you watched me go from ghey 13 year old to the pack of awesome you see before you. Really the only thing keeping me from leaving in the first place was because I felt attached since it was my first forum and whatnot, BUT I SHALL MAKE MY LEAVE EITHER WAY.
In a way I think MrMister was right when he left. I'm not gunna be all..FUQ U GUYS I H8 U UR BEHIND THE TIMES and ****, but lets face it, this community isn't really...the most updated of the internet. Kinda corny, really. We barely have a top admin anymore. Sure we got Razor and Fagmose(u noe i luv u ozzy :) ) but really, the site has gone off track BY A MILE. At this point, it shouldn't even be an rpg making site because no one but the new members who quit in a day really care about it anymore. But hey w/e floats your e-boat.
So yeah. I'm sure Kijuki and a few others who just LOVED me are gunna be so sad to see me go :( BUT I MUST
A couple suggestions...GET SOME BETTER SMILEYS, STOP SAYING PWNED/OWNED, And remember kids, using !!!11oneeleven11!1 instead of !!!!!!! stopped being funny a year ago. The list goes on, but it doesn't matter. If you ever see me on another forum, DROP A HOMEBOY A PM. I'll probably be using the name Decepticon. Or a variation of the word. Cause ya know, MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE. And if anyone cares enough, I still use the same msn email.

I'm still not sure about Kijuki's position as a site member, and am kind of annoyed the mods never had the guts to clarify it. Technically Kijuki is a banned member, and the past has shown that any banned member that creates a dual account to attempt to get around the ban can be banned again instantly. But the mods obviously didn't ban HTML, yet they didn't unban Kijuki, and I wonder what's up with that.
Though, to be honest, they probably found themselves disagreeing with some of my policies to the point where they decided inaction was better than any action that could go horribly wrong, and so they're sitting here ignoring you like they ignore every other problem. Not so much you Razor, but hello to Moose on that one. Consider it a fair turn for you saying that my reign as admin was poor. You're doing worse. :D How are those attempts to revive the site going? You fire any inactive mods lately? Think of a contest or something that could stimulate interest? Didn't think so. "Peace" you claim and peace Charas has, but peace has a deadly cousin for an internet community - boredom.
Lord I hate falling into the same boat as Kijuki on the "Charas is dying!" issue, but it is. Charas 3.0 will be the same problems with a new interface. And yes Moose is working hard, but, despite his estimates, it seems to me it is still weeks or months away, which is weeks or months of relative inaction and putting off problems until some sort of mystical new interface magically solves them.
Which it won't. Because people like Rev are leaving. Even though he hasn't really left, just like Kijuki and MrMister are still hovering, but that crowd is hardly the backbone of a good community. And that's what this really is about - a good community. Charas isn't a dead community right now, but it's declining. Like in the old days, the mods have lost a lot of respect - people listen, occasionally, out of fear of atuority rather than out of friendship and faith in good judgement.
And while Charas has a purpose - that whole RPGMaker thing - it sucks pretty hard at it so people just go to better sites. And the software itself isn't getting any younger. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before there is a better RPG making tool, if there isn't one already. There's nothing you can do about any of that except try to strengthen the community, which nobody is showing any signs of actually doing.
The mods will probably consider this sort of unfair, which maybe it is. You disagreed with some of my policies and were ignored; I won't complain about similar treatment. But you're the ones that were eyeing my job for a year or more, so maybe you should put your money where your mouth is and try to do less cleaning of threads like this and more proactive encoruagement of growth out there in All of All and Requests and Games were you still have a shot at making a difference.
Just a thought.

Retaliation: HTML was built before dual account laws, before i was banned, before razor (that one was for lols). HTML was not initally built to be a double account, it kinda just turned that way then used to hide myself while testing forum's loopholes. Razor gave me the idea to come back to charas as HTML. I thought all my accounts were banned (since that was your judgement), but he said this one wasnt. I have actually followed rules up straight, even when i was bonk a while ago, I followed the bonk's order w/o questioning it.
But in return you are right. In reality, i was expecting to get banned 10 days i got active on HTML for same issue, but I wasn't. (Not that I want to get banned again)
With Osmose thinking I am an idiot though I dont think I'll be far from that reality.
I am either agreeing with the rest or just nodding since the problem stated above.

HTML was not initally built to be a double account, it kinda just turned that way then used to hide myself while testing forum's loopholes. Razor gave me the idea to come back to charas as HTML.
So this is Razor's fault.

Sai is right, get some stuff happening here, or elect new mods who will see the opportunity as a privelege to be made the most of, not a chore to be done in a half-assed manner.

The way I see it, this thread is exactly how I remember charas.
Hot discussions, people constantly ranting the mods for doing a bad job, somebody leaves ect.
Isn't that how it's always been?
3.0 will probably not bring much of change on that fact, but it sure will be cool.
And I think, Osmose deserves more credit for trying so hard.

The last thing Charas need is RPG Maker. We have the generators, and the games part of the forum, but that is ALL WE NEED. The forum doesn't need to spin around RPG Makers anymore, because, quite frankly, everyone here but a few excedptions is full of it.
Want to revive the forums? Encourage people to do something new.

And charas started "dying" out around the time alex was barely here which was a little before he made you admin. Can't really complain much.. everyone talks about "community spirit" and so on.. but no matter how much you or anyone tries to force everyone together it wont change the fact that people get... BORED. Rev is right, that's the problem. Boredom. Talking to the same people all the time, about the same things. It gets old. And hopefully with the updated charas, it will attract more people.
Different kinds of people. We all have something in common. We're attracted to shiny things.. *ooog XD* And hopefully a few of the older members will stop bitchin to the newbies and give them a chance to grow up. So that way the site will stop "dying" And to hear everyone bitch and complain... it gets fuckin old after a while. Real old. It's the same thing every time. Someone decides to leave, cause the site and members are "lame" or whatever. Then everyone gets offended and says harsh things to one another and it gets bigger and bigger.
And what's fucked up about it is that if the mods get in the middle, we're bad either way. Lock it, and we're power-hungry whores who need to be replaced. Leave it open, and we're stupidass-slackers who need to be replaced. Either way it's always the staff who gets blamed first. That needs to stop. There are too many people being too demanding on how we should act. As for the replacements. Whose really good enough to deal with the pressure..? You know how many times over the years I've been here, even before I got modded, that I've sat and listened to that same old converstation?
Almost every other night. Going through list of names and personalities and so on. There have been some bad choices, there are always going to be some bad choices. But lemmie use someone else's words... we're at the bottom of the barrel right now. There really is no one to use as replacements basically. And the mods we have now from what I've seen haven't overdone their jobs. But there really isn't that much activity to overdo their jobs.
But I must admit, I loved the drama as much as harvey did. It kept me interested for a little while. Maybe ya'll should just grow up a little and try and be helpful by offering suggestions that are HELPFUL not saying "WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING CHARAS IS DYING!!!!" and other kinds of bitchin.

I think the mod team is fine. They do their part just fine. Maybe with a stick up their *** at times, but for the most part they do a good job. One thing I don't like is how this is blamed on them. They have nothing to do with it. It's the COMMUNITY ITSELF.
While some people want to push it on the mods, I say its the community. Its the website itself. You can really do some cool things with 3.0 and if you don't then you'll have the same problems. No one is really interested in RPG making like they were when the site began.
By the way, I'm totally not Mrmr.

That is a good idea. What kind of games can be made though? RPG Maker is mostly for RPGs and ABSs.
Maybe we could ask around other communities to help make "Templates" for stuff like Fighting Games and Platformers. I remember playing a nice Mario styled platformer by a guy named Ineluki from the German Community. Like, Dragonblaze's customizable CBS...maybe we can make a resource section for something like that.

when i saw this place, the first thing i saw was the charset generator. that and that alone sent me looking for completes. then i saw them here. then i made myself known as the wacko i am and i love this place.

My point is, though I'm somewhat new, this place isn't all that bad. The staff is actually respectful to some extent, and there's not as many doucherockets running around here as there were/are at other forums I've been to/am at. I agree with Gemini:
