Title: Interchange students
Post by: Grandy on August 04, 2007, 11:23:20 PM
None of them is confirmed, but I'll most likely end with three interchange students in my class: one girl from China, one girl from Florida, and one guy from England. Not really, the guy is Brasil, but he lives in England since he was six months old.

So, yeah, apart from the Chinese girl, no one speaks portuguese that well as far as I know (the Chinese girl was already in my class for one day so I know she understand rather well) I believe I will get along with them, seeing as apart of me no one in my class seems to know English.

 So, yeah, this is awesome.

You can be like a translator and tell your friends that they nice people while telling the exchange students that your friends want to eat their body parts. :D

That's pretty cool. Mind you, since english is your 2nd (3rd? whatever) language, you might learn to speak it even better.

I think I speak it fairly good, though my teacher says that I have a strong accent.

A strong ENGLISH accent. I guess it's influence of watching so much Monty Phyton.

People dont think Spanish is my first language when they hear me blabber in English. I either speak it too well, or I am just too annoying.

I tried entering to an exhange student thing once! Except like always I forgot to do things at a certain time. ALso my grades sucked all through high school, so no chance.

Thats cool! In my Multimedia class the whole class was basically exchange students, and I got to know a few of them pretty well...it was interesting to see how from so many different cultures the teenagers had pretty much the same interests. Probly the influence if the Internet, like this Canadian typing right here and some European reading it over there...that kinda stuff.

The internet is the furnace in which the ancient irons of forgotton cultures are welded into a single uniform alloy.

There was actually this really cute girl who was an exchange student in my class once. To bad she had to sortof "live" with this chubby guy. He's a nice guy, but she looked like she was in pain...

I had a swiss foriegn exchange student in my drama class in my junior year of high school.  He spoke english better than most of the kids in the class.  Course, english is switzerland's primary speaking language.

Mom wants me to enter a foreign student exchange program and go to Spain. Sounds intriguing....but I'm not sold on the whole 'Ganado' thing....

lol, no, seriously, Spain is nice, but I'd rather go to England (the land of Truffles and Harry Potter). Maybe I'd get to visit the House of Parlament (?).

I'm going to excuse this, since it's not your first language.
Actually, no, I'm not.
GRAMMAR SMACK!
It's "well", not "good". I overlook and ignore a lot of things, BUT THIS YOU MUST KNOW!!!!
....end rant.
I always find myself more attached to the exchange students than I am to normal classmates... like the Australian boy who sat next to me junior year.... heehee.... *looks around* ...anyway.

I hate the French. Sucks to be the UK when it comes to exchange students... and... well... Holland too =( We also get French exchange students and besides that, nothing. Damn farmers.
