Title: Scholarships suck
Post by: Djanki on August 16, 2007, 12:43:59 PM
It's the 16th. I'm broke. I've bought four books and two pamphlets that I need for my classes, and I'm still missing one more. I've had to pay for them all with my own money, because my scholarship hasn't come in yet. It'll probably arrive in early October, knowing the school...

I hate that. I need that money NOW, not in October! I'm flat broke! All I have left is lunch money! Heck, I have to pay for my new glasses soon, and I haven't paid my celular phone bill!....And, I bought Persona 3, but still....

I hate the government. -_-

It's not the entire government, it's the school itself. My scholarships went through even before I started school.

How about instead of bitching about your scholarship, be happy that you have one?

Quite frankly though, if you're not getting enough free money you may have to, God forbid, get a jorb  :o

Hey, the state raised me, and I'm not going to college because they screwed up on paperwork. So yeah, the government, for the LOSE.

You never watched Homestar Runner did you?

And Phayre, I hope you realize that you essentially just called your life a losing failure right?

Whee Work Study. AND I'M STILL POOR.

$38,000 costs for a year. $28,000 in free scholarship money based on academic excellence and financial need. $9,000 in loans, some federally subsidized, others unsubsidized but still federally sponsored.

Wait, so people who are partially raised by things that fail automatically fail? That makes me sad.

No, it's just that a lot of college bs is just that: bs. Like when my college wanted me to pay $300 for special sheets. Paperwork and money and crap.... pff.

You know, I'm gonna have to do that, seeing as I lose Social Security in November.

I turn 18 on December 6.
