Eh, I never liked either of those game's/types-of-game's style, but it's ok, I guess.

I suggest using a template when you're starting off, and then maybe creating your own style once your skills improve.

No one said you have to generate them.
Try to use a  charset template, thats what Moose meant.

If you can make chars by yourself you can think about a style change (like I do, you saw my battle sprites or?)
