Title: The Black Mages
Post by: thepsynergist on September 30, 2007, 11:55:21 PM
I am not sure if any charas users have heard of the Black Mages music group at all, but they make awesome rock remixes of Final Fantasy songs.  BTW, their third album is coming out in early 2008.  If you can't buy the cd, there is always downloading them on www.bluelaguna.net or .com, not sure which.

They're led by Nobuo Uematsu, lead composer for square. That's why they do remixes of their songs.

They are my favorite band.  My first fav song is the remix of Dancing Mad from FF6, and my 2nd fav is Winning the Rainbow from Blue Blast.

Yeah, they're pretty good. I always thought Nobou's compositions smelled like metal.

I was wondering when it would come out....

My favorites from them is their remix of 'Vamo' Alla Flamenco', and the boss theme from 'FF IV', as well as 'The Skies Above'.

Here's hoping they re-make Gau's theme! ^_^

I disliked the version of Otherworld they did, mainly because of the singer. I liked the screaming better. Sigh.
But I'm a geek, and I love remixes of songs I like, so I'm happy to have a few tracks from Stepmania songs.

Come on FFV's decisive theme and The Extreme.

The Extreme? Hell yeah.

The black mages are cool, but I don't listen to 'em much to be honest. I over-listened to FF music back in the day.
