Laddddeeeeeeez and gentelmeeennn! Boba Fettuccini presents his new webcomic, Stranger than Science Fiction!
This is the pilot, of sorts. I will slowly but surely make the first 10 pages or so, and then after that, if people like it I will continue.

Stay tuned for the next page!
BTW folks, the first portion is going to be pretty serious. But I have some funny stuff for it later on :)

It's actually kinda pretty. Where did the 3D come from? Google Sketchup?
-
1. Main Theme - 2001 A Space Odyssey
2. Not bad. Art could be a little better but it's fine. The real bad part...
3. ...is the paneling. It was difficult to figure out the panel order and there were little to no guides on what was and what wasn't a panel. I think you should look up some tutorials on how to panel comics better, or at least give them clear-er outlines.
-
yeah, I know I'm pretty bad at panelling. My mind works rather jumbledly, and thus my panelling too. On my next I make make ach panel an individual image.
And the 3d is actually made with this nifty lil program called metasequioa.
And so i guess Osmose gets a cameo :p What is your preferred physical appearance?

moar plz.

Poke around - every single Black Mage you see in there works. :P
-
ok, i know just how to use you.
-
just a heads up, page 2 is 52% completed!!
-
page 2 done!
-
I'm going to stop fixing your images to display fullsize anymore now. :P
-
Nice one. It actually looks like you're using something a lot like serif drawplus for this, looking at the gradients used and stuff. What do you use?
Keep it up.
-
Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9. has a lot of the Serif Drawpuls type tools, but they're a little more intuitive.

suppose thats ok, they can always right click view image. and I'm making them jpegs now so they won't be so hard on slow connection speeds.

Never mind with the code, thats 4 edits without it doing sh*t.
DUN DE DUN!!
-
Or, you could edit the previous posts to see what I did to make it display properly - right clicking is annoying and will draw people away.
-
=/ I've been pasting in the bbcode image tags from photobucket.. owell.
btw, you do get a bit bigger part. you'll learn later.
-
I vote Osmose's idea.

-
lolcameo
It has potential, but the pages are coming in a bit slow to keep interest for very long.
-
I would get them out at a more regular pace... but I'm doing public school, AND my mom is homeschooling me on the side. This brings it all to a grand total of 11 classes, not counting my art or music classes.
but I'll try to bring up the pace just a bit, maybe 2 a week if I'm lucky. These take about an hour apiece, so I should be able to budget my time for it.
-
Cameo....Nice.....
Unfortunately I'm not popular here so I'll never get a cameo, in anything, NOT EVEN MY OWN GAMES!
*Weeps in corner
-
if that was a hidden request for a cameo...
-
You figured out my plan!
-
yeah, well sorry. No cameo :p I offered that as a one time deal, and the Black mage fits into this mini-arc just fine.

hey... umm... so its been awhile. And I have some more material. But before I go taking another 15 minutes out of my day to get all the phot links working and stuff, can I get a show of hands to see who is even close to interested? if no one is... then I'll just not post it.
-
Holy cow, you're still working on this?! I need to start paying more attention...
-
i never gave up. I just stopped working on RPG resource making, so i stopped visiting Charas as much. :) I can show a sneek peek of the next story arc, and I'll try maybe to get my hand-drawn episode into some form of flash-based slideshow so I don't have a mile long post.
