Title: Four Seasons
Post by: Melch on November 03, 2007, 09:57:24 PM
I'm looking for 4 seasons of the same tile set. An example would be how Harvest Moon did it. However, right now I'm looking for a forest scene and Harvest Moon tile sets are of a town.

Thinking of trees being full in spring and summer, but autumn looking in the fall, and leafless in winter (maybe with snow). Also, hoping to get something that looks like clear water in Spring, shallow (like a drought) in Summer, and ice in Winter.

My goal is to actually have it match up so that if I have a variable set to 1, 2, 3, or 4, it will just change the tile set being used to the right season. This way, I draw one map, and with an event at the start, it will make the map look like whatever season it is.

My game is in the playful style of the "blahblah of Mana" series, and I'd like the tile set to be sorta like that, but I will link a few examples. In total, I will need 12 tile sets. 4 forest, 4 town, and 4 world... but right now I'd like to get a forest set together as that is where my story is going to start. I don't mind using any of these sets that I will link, but the only one I have four seasons for is Harvest Moon, and as I mentioned, that is a town and not a forest.

This post is of a Secret of Mana tile set....

Here is Harvest Moon. Note that the Spring and Winter have items in the same X, Y coordinates. What I want for the forest so the tile sets are interchangeable.

This set looks good, but the tiles don't match up for X, Y. And the tree gatherings look....off.

you know you could just use imageshack or something and put thm all in the one post in stead of multiposting
