Blah, front-view battle system. Unless you can switch between front view and side view, I'm not going to bother. Unless I have time for a CBS, which I very highly doubt.

There was a topic about this a few weeks ago...

Surprisingly enough? It doesn't grab my interest. It looks like all the other RPG Makers they EVER made, wtf, Enterbrain is pretty careless about this subject. They think by releasing a new rm every few years with better graphics but the exact same set up will keep selling? (Don't get me wrong, the set up is great, but it doesn't seem like there is anything definitively different than the others here, besides graphics.)

...and yet I continue to use RM2k3. :P

RM2K3 > RMXP > RMVX > RM2K > RM95 > RM95B

feel free to correct me and fill the thread pointless "smaller than" posts.

This is a strange joke. Is it just RM2k with a different name? Those screenshots look almost exactly the same...

I can only assume that "VX" is some kind of retarded attempt at saying "5", but whatever.

It is the same as RM2k3 with these features:
-A front/back based battle system like 2k.
-32-Bit PNGs as graphics (meaning alpha-channels and transparency).
-RM2k3 style scripting.
-Allowed importation of RMXP scripts.

In other words it sucks, but I don't want to  get ahead in my opinions. The front-view battle system is a huge turn off, HUGE. According to things I read about it, the RGSS language will be easier to use than in RPGXP, which is good news, cos I really don't have the time really learn the language, I rather learn C#, which I probably will.

Enterbrain is starting to get on my nerves, they are starting to utterly suck *****. I will continue to use RM2k3 and start learning C#

C# is useless. If you're going to learn a VM-based language, go with Java.

It's only good quality is XNA, but even then you're better off just going with something more widely used and supported.

So you are saying Java is better than C#? I don't know much about Java, what can you do with it?

Make programs, much the same as you can make programs with C#.

I was going to use C# because it's good for video game making. Now, I ask, how good is Java for video game making (RPG mostly)?

32-Bit PNGs is a nice feature to have. It's the one thing I really wish 2003 would have.
