Title: And suddenly I remember why I hate iTunes
Post by: Phayre on December 03, 2007, 07:33:16 PM
A friend bought me an iTunes gift of entire soundtrack, which made me happy. Unfortunately, I don't have an iPod (realizing that there are definitely better players out there.... like mine ^^) and detest iTunes. Perhaps as some rotten gimmick, the songs are all in some weird m4p format playable only with iTunes. How do I get around this? I looked everywhere for a free converter, but I'm not paying money to access a gift given to me. Help?

I still have my crappy tiny cheap mp3player. I figure I can just change the songs on it pretty regularly. I never need tons of albums on there.

You can pretty much steal any album off of Google if you know how to do it...

I'm pretty sure Audacity imports mp4. If not, you might be able to use its recorder and redo it into mp3. I wouldn't use any free sound programs. A lot of times they carry Trojans.
