When I load it up in RPG Maker 2003, there's two black lines on either side of the sprite. Could someone fix these  for me please? They all have that problem.
It's for an arcade game minigame that features characters from Mario.

There's a very simple solution to this. Just open them in paint and get rid of the lines.

They're jpgs. Cant be fixed without remaking the whole sprites.

So they're just badly done sprites then?

That stinks. Those were the only Mario ones I needed on Charas.

The pixels on the side of the sprite is caused by it being a JPG, JPEG smooths the picture wich makes the colours all messed up.

There is no way to fix this unless you got the non-JPEG pic or if you are willing to remake the sprites in it yourself.

Unfortunately, I have zero experience with that.
Would anyone here be able to assist me?
All I need is that one charset for my final minigame round.

It's on Charas. Search for Mario under charsets.

I got an Invalid Color Depth error, and when I saved in into 256 bit, the black bars returned.

Reduced t 256 using Irfan View. You should really dl it.

Bah. It's still no use.
Should I contact the author to fix it?
Or could I select from sprites from Spriters Resource and have someone fix them into a charset?

dont save directly into your project folder. delete the one you dragged and dropped into the folder, and have the working png dude at the ready.

Import said file, after insuring the origonal non-working one is gone. this is why, i think, its not working. i had a similar prob back when i used 2k3

I couldn't even Import them because they're Jpeg..
but dudewheresmymount's version looks fine, I have no Idea what your going on about...

Why don't you take a screenshot of what you see, and post it up here.
