Post by: Shady Ultima on December 26, 2007, 10:24:36 PM: The countdown in my profile for the past bit has been a countdown until my 4 year anniversary here.

I joined on Jan 1st of 2004, shortly after midnight. I remember I joined simply because I wanted to request, but I became a member of the VG Reapers, and have been here ever since then. I remember when I used to spend hours a day on this site, laughing at answers. My mother thought I was crazy, just sitting on my computer laughing my *** off. Charas was great then. There were so many characters then. From Darkfox, who even THEN was legendary, to Reain, to Trevlac, hell, Alex used to visit all the time back then as well. Those days are gone though.

Yes. 4 years since I joined Charas. I never even hit 1k posts!

But now, seeing as I rarely play games, and I don't make them anymore, (aside from the attempt at a community game, which failed miserably) I have decided that on Jan 1, 2008, I will be leaving Charas, permanently.

Unlike many other members who have left, my reason is not dissatisfaction or any such reason. It is not hatred of the staff, or any reason such as that. My reason is that I've grown up. I'm 20 years old, and the past two years have seen me going through a LOT of problems in my life. I went to college, my friend died, I dropped out of college, friends have moved, I got engaged, and my fiancee disappeared. Now, I just need to start new. I have a new band, a new girlfriend, and I want to move away from the place I have been living for the most part of the past 17 years.

I don't know if I'll be remembered, perhaps some of you will remember me, and I'm glad that I won't be remembered in the way that some will be.

So, I'll be here until the 29th, when I'm going to Chicago... but after that I am gone. Anyone who would like to keep in contact with me, I have AIM, Yahoo, and MSN.

Yeah, all you great people grow up too fast... It seems just like yesterday when Warxe and Darkfox told me not to play admin when I told noobs about the rules...

Have a great life. Sorry that the community game never worked out...

I'll surely miss you, as well as many other users, but this is simply how life should be.

I'm sure you will dedicate a piece of your hearth to us, and everyone who knew you will surely never forget you (at least, i will not!).

Wow, that I didn't expect.
I'll admit, I will miss many of you guys. The memories I have of Charas, even if they're technically of me sitting in front of my computer, will never leave me.
I may stop by and say hi from time to time though.
