Title: Easy Battle Animation...Animator?
Post by: aboutasoandthis on January 07, 2008, 12:52:42 AM
Is there a program out there that lets you animate battle animations like RPG Maker does? I'm looking for one that supports 32-Bit PNGs. I'm not trying to make movies or Avi's or anything, just a streaming set of pictures.

I'm thinking a GIF Animator could work, but I'm a noob to Gifs. What's the best free one that doesn't come with viruses or anything.

I'm also thinking about using a free version of RMXP to do this. I won't be programming or releasing a game with it, just using its animator. How would this work?

So yeah, ideas?

Hmm, well. I use Unfreeze (GIf animator) but that one is just a drag and drop pictures and they are played in that order you drop them. But it's not like the rpgmaker though. Cuz' you can't fool around with the pictures you add.
You just have to make the entire animation in paint first, picture by picture adn then drop it into the tool.

I know a friend of mine had a good one, I'll ask him if I see him online though.

Turns out I downloaded this GIF Maker and it did have a virus on it, and it knocked out my computer yesterday. I'm typing this up in safe mode.

Ironically my parents just went out to buy a new computer! XD! It should be able to save all of my files anyway.

I think I'll use Flash since it has a lot of tutorials. See you in a day or two when I'm back up and running.
