anything, but a side-ish view, like megaman or metroid would work.

But you can use sprite sheets as templates, no? That's what I do.
Just remove all the stuff and keep the outlines and you have soemthing very usable.

I tried using a metroid fusion spritesheet, but with 100's os of poses I scrapped the idea...

Seems like alot of work to color in each piece and then put it together, don't you think?
