So, I figured I might as well put the thread here as... it's more concert band/orchestra stuff now. :|
Although, I'll still be doing stuff for Phayre. You won't see that stuff here. =P
So here goes, for English, i had to do a final project for the book Fahrenheit 451. And, I choose to make a soundtrack.
This song begins with its main theme and then gets into the story. It starts with the introduction and what Montag's life is like, being a "fireman". Then in the nice little keyboard instrument part, thats where he meets Clarisse. After that... its him finding Mildred on the bed with the pills on the floor. Finally, the ending notes represent the scene where the woman burns herself with her books.
er...I would attach it.... but Charas isn't liking music files. :| I'll edit with a direct link.
EDIT:
Here it is. (http://www.freewebs.com/neopianbeginnersociety/001%2DOverture.MID)

I listened to it with Queen playing downstairs XD Your overture and fat bottom girls competing against each other.
The thing had some good moments, but there were a lot of bits that really didn't go anywhere. And of course, midi format really doesn't do it any favours :p
Definately some cool parts though. Certain bits of minimalism suddenly making themselves relevant was pretty cool. Other bits of minimalism dissappeared before they did anything so watch out for that.
-
I added a bit to the song? What do you think? (I took out a few repeats... and renamed it.)
-
Fire and Death lol. YAY ONLINE TRANSLATORS! Its latin. =P
-
Flames and dead right? I don't know much about latin, only read a notebook once...
-
Mors mortis is death. lol. Its weird, I know.

I really like your music AFL. Infact, I like it so much, I would not mind at all if you composed some songs for RoA. It's up to you though.

You get an automatic 9000000 Vanilla Cokes simply for the Fahrenheit 451ness of it. Is pretty awesome yes.
-
Yes. Vanilla Coke. Mmm... :p
EDIT:
Ok! I finally finished the concert band piece... song thing! Timed in at 15:32!
Enjoy.... an please tell me what you think of it.
(I hope the instruments aren't messed up too bad...)
-
bump?
And... a new piece. And it is almost physically possible to pay it. The only part that is a stretch is the ending.
-
The song's great, but the instrument choice kinda spoils it. Seriously, replace that woodblock with a bass.
-
its actually a xylophone. lol.
Thanks. I may change it now that I've heard it sounds like a woodblock XD.

Reviving from the grave!
Okay, something much, much, much more recent!
So, I deciding to take a song from Sweeny Todd (its a musical) and make an arrangement of it. =P Just something to revive this thing.
