You guessed it! Another Pokémon game! Pokémon Amethyst will consist of most of the Pokémon in Ruby and Saphire, as those two were my favorite Pokémon games. I will have some of my own custom Pokémon as well!
If you wish to help me out by mapping, making Pokémon or any other things please post here!

And yeah for sure, once I get some maps done I'll get some screens up here! I'm really working on forums, and graphics like my sig (which is done) and yeah...

AFL's avatar on Pokemon Obsidian forums is the trainer that I used in my sig. But he recolored his, and added a pokeball to his hand. I took off my guy's arm and put it infront of him throwing up a pokeball...

Who is Joe?
I just looked up on google to make a trainer, but I found make a trainer card... So I saw this guy as one of the trainers usable for the trainer card, and liked it so took him lol...
All I know is he is a gym leader...

No offense, but I think it's time to get original and a little realistic. You have not made a game before, and you want to take on the difficulty of making a pokemon game?
What happened to your other project? Honestly, making a pokemon game when AFL, Lucas and Purple Mage are working on one kinda proves you don't know what you want to do. Of all things to make for your first game. Why not try your other idea which was at least original.. Design something simple first. Pokemon is to difficult for somebody new to this. I personally liked your idea in a way.. It was a little different with the school thing and kinda reminded of persona of the ps1. Which was a cool game.
Do whatever you want to do.. I was trying to give you some tips on your other game but now I just don't know anymore.
Maybe you can prove me wrong. I hope you can. :dry:

Hey... I remember playing a VERY early version of this on GamingW. Couldn't get anywhere past the 1st town due to missing some files.
Let's hope you got those problems fixed.

Yes. Mine is a recolor of that trainer sprite. I'm actually considering editing it further when I find the time. lol.
Good luck none-the-less. I'll see I can find that starter kit Btw. (If you haven't already found it. =P)

I love how I'm the first one when someone lists the main ppl for Obsidian/Opal. lol. And lucas is the one who had the original idea! lol.

(there are literally hundreds of pokemon fangames being made as we speak. None of them are ripping off the other....theyre fangames of a popular franchise)

A rip-off? Excuse me, but you haven't seen my game yet. I consider you wait till you either try the demo, see some screens etc. You haven't got a clue what my game is like... AND you never tried THEIR game yet... :dry:

@Dominicy Yeah I agree, I don't know what I want... But I have found some Pokemon communities and I have grown to Pokemon again. I WILL work hard on this game, I know it. This game will hopefuly succeed!

@Bluhman I didn't make any Pokemon game before, and NEVER heard of any Pokemon Amethyst game... Somebody else probably made Pokemon Amethyst, but I haven''t seen any...
Lucas, AFL and prpl's game probably will be better since they got an actual 'team'. Right now I'm on my own. :p

Hahah... I imagine... I just chose amethyst cause I like the purple & black layout, also red and blue make purple, like Ruby & Saphire which were my favorite!
But yeah we'd probably need the same pokedex and everything...
But it WOULD be real cool. We'd need a server too, right?
Also, I'd need to use the same kit you guys got cause, mine doesn't got a pokedex... :dry:
The party menu doesn't look too hot either.
@Lucas Could you possibly do something for me? Make a new project on RPG Maker XP, copy the obsidian files, delete all your maps and whatever else, then send it to me? It would be just like a starter kit, rather than searching for the one you guys used... :happy:

Huh? No... Just zip the Pokemon Obsidian folder, and upload it. I'll be able to edit it... I'll delete the maps and other pokemon, I'll be able to add my own... =S

You were talking about being able to trade our pokemon and stuff.... I'm talking about using your game to make a starter kit so I can make MY game...
You just gotta send me your game, then I'll make my game from that...
I don't think we'll have our games linked...
So... please... upload your Pokemon Obsidian folder, I'll download it, then whatever... So I can make a game. It will be like a starter kit.

Well, actually my game may be online, if I find a tut for a server. I actually found a Pokemon Starter Kit and it comes with a server, and you gotta do some stuff.
I'm working on it... It won't take long. I hope it works, it would be SO cool! =D

Ex, good luck with your game from me and Kalina. Sorry about the stupid joke, It was pretty dumb and @ss-holish of me to post. You will do good in the XP world, you're a great artist as it is so that's a start. Just thought I would tell you we are taking down the copper thing and wish you luck and won't comment on your stuff anymore.

I pretty much got the game going, I am working on making / finding a Pokedex. Thats really the only thing I need.... I should have a small demo in... 10 days?

If anybody out there is willing to help me out by mapping on this game, it would be SO awsome! It would help me get more work done on the game, and because I am busy with some issues at home (My parents split up not too long ago) I can't get much work done.
Just post here if you wanna be a mapper. You WILL need RPG Maker XP.
