If you're not familiar with this, the rings are a set of system errors found in various XBox 360s. Turns out mine has one. According to the manuals and info websites, we have the complete red circle. This should mean that something is just unplugged, but nothing we've done seemed to fix it.
We've already contacted customer service and we should be getting a new/fixed one. We even get a free magazine. :) Have you ever had any system errors like this or any funny stories to go with them? This can be from computers to games, and it can even be things like games breaking.
-
Already went through the RRoD. Luckily there weren't any good games out for the 360 when it happened.
-
I dunno, I had a friend and I'd always play his DB: GT Final Bout disc, til one day his brother sat on it, and took a huge piece out out. Still worked fine O_o
-
I had a limited special edition Lunar 2 for the playstation... some awful girls broke it into pieces and framed my best friend for the deed. Sigh. I hate females someti-- wait...
Also, my sister spilled diet coke in my playstation. It asploded. There was smoke and ickiness, and she wonders why I don't let her touch my stuff...
-
"All this diet coke brings is pain and suffering! I will ifnd a new coke! A BETTER coke!!!"
...and thus Phayre was born.
-
My Ps1 memory card just stopped living a few days ago. my memory card with fully complete FF6-9....... It.... it...... *cries*
-
My brother's 360 had the RRoD...
It was weird... I was playing it, and it was fine.... Mysister got off the good (bigger) TV so I turned it off, unplugged it, plugged it into the big tv and it didn't work. I check the plugs and it seemed fine... So I just went back to the smaller tv and it didn't work... I was like... WTF?!?!?
My brother thought I did something to it so he got all mad at me...
But then he phoned customer support and they said its been happening to lots of ppls so he wasn't mad at me, he was happy cause he got a new one. His old 360 was messed, the game wouldn't work half the time.. You'd have to turn it off and on, off and on.. and voila! It works... But now you just put the game in, turn it on and it works...
So its all good.! :D
But yeah, my house was soooooooooooo effin boring cause thats the only thing I had to do. I didn't have this comp at the time so yeah...
-
ALSO! (Different story)
I had my GBA SP and my only good game in it, Final Fantasy Tactis... I had a hoodie on and I put it in my hoodie pocket, after 2 mins I forgot about it... We went into town to visit my grandma and before I got into the car my GBA SP fell out... :o Next day my dad found it chewed up by my dog... Surprisingly, it would STILL work if the screen didn't bugger up. Cause when I turn it on it sounded fine, the light came on, but the screen had this big thing and yeah...
Also, my game (final fantasy tactics) data was erased, I was on the last boss.. (no joke)
So I thought I'd make a new file (after I got a nintendo DS) but when I try to save it wouldn't work... ftw So I threw it out! :D
-
My Xbox got screwed, too. In a different way, though. The video card fried. I sent it in a week ago (it took almost a month for the damn box to arrive), but I feel your pain, since I, too, am short a 360. Hopefully it'll be back soon. I'm getting Halo withdrawal symptoms.

HOLY FRIK I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THE SAME GAME O___O
A few years ago, this is when I was like, eight, for the first time I'm about to finish Lunar 2 (Zophar, not the Star Dragon) when I accidentally bumped the playstation off the TV when I got up to stretch. Suddenly I hear one of the voice overs from earlier in the game by Ghaleon. I remember it something like 'Don't you see?! Zophar has already won! It's too late!'.
The disk was HORRIBLY scratched up and the playstation fell about two feet off the TV. It was just frikkin creepy how I'm right about to go fight Zophar and I get that yelled at me XD First thing I did was burst out laughing.
Uhhhm... I have a few more. In World of Warcraft my brother and I were attacking Horde in the middle of a PvP town when a Warlock fears me. I use a spell to get out of it when I fall through the floor and die. I was kicking his ***, too XD
My mom's big screen TV, about a year ago, randomly made a huge pop sound, shut off, and started smoking from all sides. Or so she says... :\
I'll probably post more stuff when I remember some xD
EDIT: OH!! Might and Magic 6! The Thieve's Guild door's bugged in the Collector's Edition.
Speaking of Might and Magic, Might and Magic 8, I need to fire an uber demon laser cannon to destroy a pirate ship or some stupid crap. I fire the cannon, get launched from one of the islands all the way to the other, survive the fall, only to be stabbed by a pirate I didn't kill. I didn't survive xD

My PSP has some dust behind the screen. I don't know how to get rid of it. I've heard something about getting a can of pressurised air and spraying it into the UMD tray to shift the screen-dust, but I don't have any air-in-a-can. It's annoying.

Buy some. Just be careful. For the most part air-in-a-can is all purpose dust problem solver. Which includes a dusty computer fan.
-
air in a can is your best friend.
I need to buy some and clean my gross laptop. Its caked with dusted semen and crackers. I MEAN....
WITH....ONLY CRACKERS
-
Dusty semen crackers? Creepy.

I waited in line for eight hours for a Wii the night they were released with my best friend, we jumped up and down with joy when we finally got it, and when we got home (Thirty minutes away.) it didn't work, it wouldn't read discs. XD Three weeks it took for me to send it in and get it back, in the mean time everyone else had the chance to play it before me. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. Whoops, meant to get my SSBB friend code now that I think about it.
-
My NES wasn't working when I got it from eBay, but a good old "I wasted fifty bucks for this!?" kick fixed it. o.O

Another story to add, my little brother poured orange juice into my SNES and tried to cut the wires once. It still worked.
-
Yeah, you couldn't kill the old consoles. These new-fangled ones are such pansies.

Don't know what you're talking about, the PS3 can deflect bullets.
-
Have you seen the video with the gamecube being dragged behind a car and all sorts of other abuse? Still worked.
-
My brother sent my old ps2 (the old model chunky one) flipping through the air a few feet and onto the ground.
Vice City was inside- Had to get another copy of Vice City, but the PS2 was still working perfectly. Until you know... Natural DRE set in.

That was on TV once. You could take a sledgehammer to it and have it still work. All the Nintendo consoles are tough.
