Title: Great Game, Finished!
Post by: Hirochi-Zangus on April 19, 2008, 11:31:42 PM

UNTITLED
 [/I]

You are_____ and you start the game waking up from a good nights sleep. You go to check your journal to see what the tasks of the day are. It is just like any other day, clear, blue sky, glistening water on the pond, even the daily theft that your nemisis, Grouch, does. Ingitch truly is a paridise for the lower class. After doing some good deeds around the town, you decide that it is time to go into the dungeon that was closed because of the theories of ghosts and deaths. You find a funny looking key and enter the dungeon... What happens next is all up to _____...

The game is really quite fun to play after you get past the first area because of the slow begining and at the same time, quick start. The game has many great features like...

Someone please tell me how to load games on to here so I can let you guys play it! I gave credits to people for Music as well so don't worry about that! :D Hope you guys/girls will like it!

Expected time to be completed...    0-3 days

Here are some character descriptions...

Otto:
Male, teens 18
The main character of the game. He is the person at the begining who wakes up and goes into the dungeon. He is strong and effectionate. He loves Bat Stews and has a thing for solving puzzles. He has no Ability.

Worker Man:
Male, 17
He is the second character you get in the game. You find him in the dungeon and you have to rescue him from starving to death. He has a low IQ because of the lack of oxygen and being in the middle of an earthquake site. His favorite food is Delicate Desert. His ability allows you to destroy some boulders that block your way.

Hydrodude:
Male, 23
He is very intelectual and is the brains of the team. He is a Water-Agent meaning he can breathe underwater and is healed by water moves. He uses Ranged weapons and is very tactical. His favorite food is unknown though he prefers Snail Salad over anything else. His ability allows you to destroy boulders that have soaked in enough water.

Kristal:
Female, 16
She is the only Female in the game, that you get in your party, and she is very shy towards Otto, at first. You have to rescue her from a Nightmare Dimension where all your deepest fears come true. She has no favorite food. Her ability allows her to use her whip to get across endless pits in the ground.

OTHER CHARACTERS[/U]

Guru-Guru:
Genderless, Ageless
A slime is known as a Guru-Guru and this is one of the characters you must be. A weak and pathetic slime because you just couldn't stop having fun! Fun is good, but not at the cost of your own body! This character can have a weapon and has food to eat, as well. They are Guru-Guru food so when you are this character you can eat this food, only!

Kunoshi:
Male, ???
A videogame character that you must be in order to gain a prize of your choosing. This character has a lazer sword, lazer-proof armor, and is very strong against fiends. You must defeat another character in the game to win, The King of Games!

Those are the characters in the game. A certain enemy is also made by Charas and shall be revealed soon... I wonder who? :yell:

To me, nothing is a bigger turn off to a game than the creator complimenting his own game.  >.>

It sounds a bit interesting, but honestly this sounds like another game that's more hype than anything.  Prove me wrong, please.

The game is not titled yet?

I guess you could wait to title 'til you finish but..

Twist endings are always fun though!

I just looked at a handful of games at my house, nearly all of them complimented the game in someway or another. Theres always terms like "memerable characters", "epic story", "incredibly animated". Now you're complaining that this game says "great story", get over it.

Anyway, the game seems very unique, it'll be nice when you get the actual game up so we can see how it really is :)

By "Great storyline not having..." I meant that it is a great game that doesn't get off track like some games I have played. This game has some quests, but doesn't totally get off the main point of the game. You don't get so into a quest that you don't remember what the game is about or what you were supposed to do to continue the storyline. I wasn't complaining about my game, that's all.

Yeah, it's not that big of a problem, but after being disappointed by some 20 RPGmaker games that claim to be amazing, it gets annoying.  More often than not it's the games that aim low that are the best.  :\  Sorry if I came off as whiny or anything like that.

Anywayyssss, good luck with your game and all those generic encouraging statements XD  The game sounds like it has potential, and maybe, just maybe it'll live up to what you say about it :D

Thanks Dominicy. I'm not bragging when I say the game is great, it is only in my opinion. The ending is taking a lot longer than I thought though, so I'm still working on it. I made some more animations and maps for it too. The ending scene(s) will take about... 3-10 minutes to read depending on how fast you read. I'd say It would take a lot longer, but I haven't completed it yet. I'll time it and see how long the end is just so you guys know in case of limited time on the computer, chores, etc. There are some errors in the game I found today so it is going to take me about maybe an hour or two longer to finish and edit the game.

Estimated time left:  7-32 Hours

I have been burried in homework for the past week, but I managed to add a lot more to the end last night. I just need to fix a moving event and add the final event then... Wala! It's finished. I'm also test playing it to make sure there're no bugs in the system.

estimated time: Very soon

I am in a tight spot here. I've completed the game except for a few small details that should only take a few minutes, but... There is the need of one last thing for those of you who are going to play. I will put up the rulebook and it will be in a word document so please read it before rushing into the game because there are some hints in the rulebook that might help out a lot!
Title:
Post by: Hawkfrost on April 29, 2008, 02:21:22 AM
Dude u never gave me a rulebook when i tested the game that is cheap
Title: TADA!
Post by: Hirochi-Zangus on April 29, 2008, 09:30:42 PM
The game is finally complete since of last night! I didn't get time to load it on but now it is ready! And I can't get the rulebook up so I'll just tell you the hints and contrals:

Cursor-
Up arrow, K, or 8
Down arrow, J, or 2
Left arrow, H, or 4
Right arrow, L, or 6

Decision-
Enter, Space, or Z

Cancel-
Esc, X, C, V, B, or N

Note: The number directions refer to the Numpad and require Num Lock to be off!

There are various secrets in the game, some of which will be very tricky...

I. SC can be found on the ground of certain symbols...

II. Use an allies skills to your advantage and rearrange them to fit the needs...

III. Not every door can be opened with a Talbet Key...

IV. Don’t kill certain bosses as fast as you can, some hold a very special Key...

V. Don’t train only one person, you’ll need them all by the end of the game regardless how weak...

VI. An ability may be more useful than its strength...

I hope you enjoy playing Unforeseen Expedition!

Need help on how to get a game on here!
Title:
Post by: Ben on April 29, 2008, 10:27:16 PM
upload it to somewhere like mediafire or something, and post the download link.

Title:
Post by: rm2k3_rulez on April 29, 2008, 10:53:17 PM
Ok here is a step by step instructions on how to post a download link.
1. Go to rapidshare.com or mediafire.com or there are many others too.(I use rapidshare no special reason)
2. It will ask you if you want to upload files. I will be referring to what rapidshare says.
3. You need to put the game files in a zipped file or winrar archive.
4. Back to rapidshare, click on browse and look for your zipped file or the winrar archive.
4. After you got your file then click upload.
5. After its done uploading it will show you a link for other people to download it. Cope and paster it here in this thread.
6. Then everyone can enjoy^_^

I won't be able to get the game on here until Hawkfrost gets to his Gmoms house. My internet is too slow and too much data to upload! But I'll try one more time right now!

After some of you guys play it I want you to PM me just to let me know if I should make the next "Section" of the game or if it just good enough and you don't need another game for explanations to questions you might have, and unsolved mysteries!
Title:
Post by: A Forgotten Legend on May 02, 2008, 12:27:32 AM
.. there is a thing called an edit button "he who should be banned".

Anyway...  I'm actually kinda excited.  I may go somewhere else but my home to dl and play the game.

Is there something special I have to do in Rapidshare.com to make it work? I've done exactly what everyones told me but it just brings me to an internet explorer Error page! AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I want to post the game up! I've got the Zip file and everything in it! I've even done the rapidshare before you gave me the step by step, doesn't work. And mediafire says it'll take 1 day 13 hours and 43 minutes to upload, then it went to error page... What am I doing wrong???

I have put the zip file containing my game on a CD. Al my friend has to do is put it on the internet when he gets to his Gmoms house next week, hopefully early. The is a pretty cool game, but I don't remember if I fixed all the errors...? If there are a few, you'll know! Just tell me!

The game is expected to be on for uploads tommorow! I'm sorry for those of you who have waited for weeks to play this game, but I assure you that tommorow... the game is really ready for downloads. I'm also sorry for those of you who have slow internet, like me, because it is going to take you a very, very, very looooong time  to upload this game!!! I also have 1 other secret I want to share with you (more like a need though). When you are at the last area, You'll know where, You can only save on a tombstone. Just wanted people to know where to save because about.... 1/5 of the game is spent in the last area... :D

I hope you'll all enjoy the game, Unforeseen Expedition!

This is the upload link for Unforseen Expedition. Hirochi is very sorry that this game would not upload into his computer, but that is all in the past now. The game is up and remember to reply on the other thread about a sequal (or prequal). Hirochi is going to make a new thread because the one that is up on the boards is out of date. Thank you for being so patient and I and Hirochi hope you like the game.

PS. Dont't report for posting a game on someone elses forum this IS Hirochi's game

unless you try and grasp the concept of the game and understand its moral. Also if you were to find and complete all the secrets like hidden bosses, items, quests... It all comes down to if you play through the game and complete your training while balancing it with normal quests, or play through till you were at a boss then being stuck until your party got stronger. Do not train only one person! Balance your party out and train all of them at once increasing your chances at success.

Wait, I'm just wondering. Above the dungeon there is a rock. You can walk on that rock and get on top of the dungeon. One part you can change the map. Is this suppose to happen?

Due to his knowledge of how to use a forum, how to upload and knowing that it's great to double post, and the fact he posted a rulebook on how to move a character in RPG Maker, I know this game will be great!

Nah, I'm joking. Sure it'll be good maybe, I have to see it first though.

Because of the one error that was found, I found a lot more. Lots of which the game would have been messed up! I thank all of you and please be patient until Sunday. The final (hopefully) version will be released!

Thanks I also want to teel everyone that I have started the second game, Unforseen Expedition: Teradrund's Tale. I've started on an area and have made many animations such as corner walls on water, bubbles, side cave enterances, etc. I hope this game will be up before one year, such as this game was. The game is expected to be 10-30% better than this one. Hope you enjoy this game! :)

I know there are some parts that may be considerably hard for you so I want to give some tips to you.

The only monster that drops money when it dies is the only monster that can run away. (In the first Dungeon)

There is money on the ground in Ingitch, Permalige, and Kalaja.

There are secrets all over the place so look carefully, and you may need to check twice considering returning to an area after an event.

If there are any Quests, places, bosses, etc. you are stuck on don't hesitate to PM me. I'll be glad to help you out.
