Title: [Request] Action RPG Style Battle

Does anyone know how to make an Action RPG Battle Style? I really need one I was going to make a stealthy ninja game or some sort almost like Tenchu. If you get caught or you run into a boss you're gonna have to fight right? If anyone knows how to do this, I'd be very grateful. I use rpg maker 2003 if that helps any.

Youll probably have to read some tutorials. I dont think anyone is going to want to program your entire games mechanics. Just a feeling I have.

What I mean is, like when you go up to an enemy you press a button and you attack him but the enemy attacks back. This is what I have down so far.
A slime Event:Action Button is how its activated. Show battle animation Sword A on the Slime. The slime chases me around too. The one thing I cant get is to make the Slime attack me while its chasing me. I started an idea but it didnt work. I made a new page for the slime for touched by hero and show animation Punch C on hero. So I tried it out, it wouldnt let me hit it only the slime got to hit me. Can anyone fix this problem? Please help.

Yeahhh... those kinds of things get very involved man. Just know now it can get pretty complicated and there really are no simple answers to your questions. Check charas tutorial section for tips. You can also go to gamingw.net. (do they have tuts?) Either way, if you really want to do this, prepare for a lot of work. :|

EDIT: haha, didn't realize this WAS in charas tut section.

Well actually i cant post the link because you cant post any download links can you? its not downloading the rpg maker itself, just a bunch of tutorials. Is that ok?

Here is what I did.
The first thing on the Slime event should be "Conditional branch: Event was started using the action button". Then add the slime's attack to the else handler.

So youching it will damage you and pressing the button will damage it.

Open up the application. Click on tutorials. Look for Action RPG on the 2nd page I think its on there. Its a little more complicated but it does more.

won't be a link to RPG maker.
