Title: Picture shows over heroes in battle

Hi!

Ok, sorry for all these questions lately. I never worked much on the battles and put them to last. Now I'm paying for it. (Oy...3 years of RM2k3 and I can't work the DBS...)

So...

In my game there's a part where you step on a tile and it asks you if you'd like to walk on a bridge. If you select yes, it forces you into a battle. Because the battle takes place on a bridge, and a bridge has railings on both sides, I figured to make the railing in the foreground appear over the heroes, I had to make it a picture. But I just can't get it to work. Attached to this post are screens of what I have going on in each event. Can someone help me figure out what's wrong?

I think the problem is simply that you can't have pictures in battle. It just doesn't allow it. For the most part, I'm almost 100% certain common events don't work in the DBS.

This has frustrated me to no end on countless occasions. So many things could be possible if they simply allowed you to use every event command you can use out of battle, while in battle.

Is there an alternative way to put the rail in front of the heroes?
