I think my friend uses parallel or something to run RM on his Mac. I don't know the exact name. I just know he can boot Vista.

Parallels, it's just a VM(Virtual Machine) that runs Windows on a Mac.

Running RPG Maker on a VM is plausible, it's not very resource-intensive.
