You start out as Kalvin, the main character, out in the middle of some woods just gaining consiousness. He forgot mostly everything except for the fact that he was running before he got knocked out. There is a training facility nearby where you gain consiousness and decide to stay while a woddsman cutts down a path to the River Bank. In the training facility you learn how to use Mag Skillz (basically magic) and you can trian on rocks for strength, Mag circle for intelligence, and get beaten by a minotuar for defence. You learn many thing from the Mage, Trainer, and the man who owns the facility, Pro. After a mission to go kill a Behemoth, the Training King bans you from the Training facility for having too much strength, strength that can kill a creature he'd never seen been killed by 1 mere human. You are then forced to take a ferry to a new continent and to expand your horizions as you figure out who you are...

Kalvin Porter, 18, Swordsman, Swords

Kalvin has always been quite helpful when it comes to gaining a reward,
but he can never pass up an opprotunity to fight. He will always be logical,
but never quite constructive when it comes to battles, especially 1-on-1
battles. He will always look for a way he can win by trickery or quickly,
especially against an opponent he knows he may not be able to beat with
brute force. He is the leader of his party.

# 284, 17, Assassin, Katanas

She is a test subject for the Fastest Assassins. She works for AOG (Assassins
of Girdante) which is a rebel group to destroy the kingdom of Gidrante. She
is the first to have survived the testing and is also a failure. The only side
effect to have barely surviving the experiment was the red eyes she possesses
called Arcana Eyes. They are called Arcana Eyes because of the project's
name, Arcana. True to her self, she blames Girdante for her being. She was
sent on a mission to intercept a ship carrying rations to Girdante.

Duael (Jet Gadoon), 24, Gunslinger, Guns

Very intelligent yet controled by the grand force of Girdante, he is force under
work to retrive the missing king. He researches all of his opponents before
facing them (ofcourse under Girdante rule) and decides how to deal with them.
When facing Kalvin and # 284, he realizes how much potential they have and
decides to leave Girdante and his powers behind. He now has no memory of
ever fighting Kalvin or anything before that. He only remembers his life
before he was under Girdante rule. His professionalism is Guns. He knows
of a secret that when using a Dawn Shot 29, there is a button that can trigger a 40+
combo attack!

Celis Forgen, X, White Mage, Staffs
Celis is a girl from Feebely who worked selling potions that cured diseasese
that killed people and animals. She is still poor and hopes that one day someone
will save her from her horrible life. That day comes when Kalvin and # 284 reach
the end of their ferry ride and travel to Feebely. She sees that Kalvin is troubled
and asks to help them. She tries to heal him by using a very difficult Mag Skillz called
Past Revival which returns the memory of whoever is casted with the spell.
She tries as hard as she can and almost kills Kalvin in the process. She fails miserably.
She nows travels with her companions Kalvin and # 284, and also her secret lover...

Volcanis Gregory, 26, Heatstar, Gauntlets
Volcanis as a boy grew up on the same island you find him on, Volcanra.
His parents were stranded on the island over 30 years ago and decided to make
the best of it. Volcanis is the guardian of the mountain and has one goal before
passing on to the afterlife, defeat the dragon that dwells within the Mountain
Caverns. His main Mag Skillz is Burn and Inferno. He only uses gauntlets and
will not use any armor. He believes that armor is for the ones who are weak and can't
take a hit. If you help him on your journey you will get a special item only found on Volcanra.

The X means I don't know what I'm going to put in there yet.
OPTIONAL CHARACTERS

Berserker, N/A, Berserker, Gauntlets

Scared at most times, Berserker is very friendly and likes to be called "Friend". She
works for Moribund, one of the leaders of Girdante, and is one of the lower class
Berserker. She helps you in combat only when you help her. She knows Duael, but
because of the certain event he doesn't remember her. She figures out a plot to ruin
Semal, a great continent containing a small village and a wide desert, and
decides to join your party permenantly, but the only problem is what the others think
of her...

Please give me your opinions about the story and characters I have more but It's still in progress!  :D

Rtp... in the second scrren the entire left side needs more to it.  Its really empty.  Also, I'm not much of the fan of doing that with the water and grass =/ .  Looks ok for just starting the game though.

To Lucas - I'm 15.

To Forgotten Legend - It's empty so you can have room to move around!  :D And I really don't quite understand what you mean about "doing that with the water and grass." Is it the maze? Because That is kinda temporary...

In your message boxes, you should have it look like 1 block of colors, not 3.

It's probably an error with RM.

It's supposed to be 3 different colors. Top - light, middle - color, bottom - darker color. You can barely notice it.

Ohhh! I understand now! The message box is 3 blocks of color... It's something I'm going to change. Thanks for noticing!

Whats a Woddsman?

Looks like a good first game although a little stale :(

The Story although seems Very open, doesnt look like it could go anywhere too exciting.

Keep practicing, You learn alot just by using the Program. My Mapping Skills have Triple from what they were when i started.

I'll be mean for a second.  Lemme give you a good example of how to use RTP.

Notice that the map is covered in trees, and yet, there's still plenty of room to move around.  Plus there's several patches of exposed dirt, and cliffs that reach up into a fortress nestled in the foothills of a mountain.

Try and put alittle more detail into graphics and dialogue, it really shows you put alot of work into your game, rather than making something just barely playable.

ALSO, MY opinion of how to use RTP. :P

Yeh, it was kind of thown together in a few seconds.  XD  It's pretty difficult to make an amazing when using RTP to make a cliffside or something like that.  I could probably take awhile to put together a better feel of how to use RTP, but I don't (or rather, I'd like to think I don't) have the time at the moment.

I guess you were more focused on using the tiles correctly anyway, which you did, and which Hirochi should consider anyway.

Well during your last few moments with # 284, you get to name her before sending her to her next mission because calling yourself # 284 during a mission isn't so... human-like.

Dom, when I looked at your map I thought "why does he have missing parts on the trees?" I now understand it's for putting the top part over the other trees to make it look more realistic! That just gave me more great ideas. Thanks!

Also Check out Apathy of Angels in the Games Section (i think its on Page 2 ATM)

Drenrin did a Fantastic job with that game, and the Maps have alot of amazing Detail. Even i learned some things looking at how he did stuff and ive been doing this for 2 years lol :D

To be honest, I kinda realised that and wouldn't have said anything, but it was how he bragged 'This is a good example of how to use rtp' before he posted it :p

I am adding an arena which is going to take a while so I won't have any updates. If you didn't look at my first post then you didn't see the update I made yesterday! It's underlined so you can see which one it is.

Feebely Arena
You will be able to win Points and exchange them for Tickets of different value (Blue, Red, Green or Gold). The arena will also have weapons that you can get only by defeating the challange. Ex: Get to the end of all 5 mazes.

Work is slow but I'll try and get screenshots when I finish most of the arena! As you can see I crossed "Dragon Race Tracks" off not because I finished, but because It was going to take too long to make custom racers, multiple levels, and having the whole racing system working (even though I got most of it working).

If you want some real good examples of map design, look up Meiscool's tutorials. A good amount of things I learned and more are from those tuts. But honestly, don't get too caught up in map design. If you find yourself getting picky over a few details, move on. You can always go back and fix it later. I've learned this the hard way, it's better to have a game/demo than a few awesome maps.

I've completed 1 level of the Feebely Arena! I think I'm going to hold that off for a while and continue on the storyline. I've also finished the Fighting Tournament!

The berserker is called that because it's her class
