Okay so I am very confident about the story in my game but somehow I can't make a cool original introduction. And once I release my game you'll find that the introduction is clearly using a kingdom hearts/final fantasy idea.
So does anyone mind a clearly cliche introduction but a good story afterwards?

You could make a cutscene, but one not to long, not too short.

DON'T. DON'T DON'T DON'TDON'TDON'T, whatever you do, begin with a cutscene of the main character staring at something, be it someone else, the sky, the sun, the ocean, or anything else. It is THE most CLICHE introduction ever. Otherwise, I can't think of any advice. Trust me though, beginning and end are always the hardest. Just keep trying different things and you'll get it right eventually.

Make the cutscene have a scroll of the first town, heading to the plyer. The player is walking around with his friends while everyday things go on in the town. He walks past a key place in the story, but the camera stays on the place, while the hero heads off away. Pauses for a while, then goes to hero's house. The hero walks in and upstairs to his room. Pauses. Goes to forest. Scroll through forest. Forest filled with animals. Starts raining with lightning effects (flashing with lightning sounds) and messages tell the prolouge. To area where hero lives. Scrolls to hero, sitting down, doing nothing.
Then (Interesting stuff) happens.

Hey, join the club. I suck at intros too. I looked it up on google and I found something useful (though I can't remeber what it was because that was ages ago). Ah, good ol' google.
