What is this?
Guitar Sprite Creation Kit (GSCK) is pretty much a concept right now. The idea is to have an image based database of resources for making custom guitar sprites in a certain style and scale.
How would it work?
The spriting community would make custom "parts" and add them to the image-based GSCK database, and eventually the database would grow, and grow, and grow.
Who would use this and why?
I honestly don´t know. They´re guitar sprites, you can do whatever the hell you want with them. Put them in your signature, show off your custom guitars on this thread, use them in a game somehow, I don´t know. It´s up to you.
Is this completely conceptual, or can I see some actual progress?
It´s still in it´s conceptual phases, but there is a "demo" of sorts.
This is EGSCK-Fender Alpha 1.0 (EGSCK-FA10, or EFA):

What am I looking at?
EGSCK stands for Electric Guitar Sprite Creation Kit. This is an extremely small "demo" limited to one tutorial and only Fender electric guitar parts. It is merely to help visualize the idea.
What might I be looking at in the near future?
Hopefully you´ll see a full beta release with a primary database. The database will contain an acoustic and an electric section. The electric section will be focused on more heavily by me, and it will be divided into brands. Two of these brands, Fender and Gibson, will have resources made for them already. The others will be left empty for me and the community to add to. Then there is the last division, for custom parts, which will also be provided by me and the community. The acoustic section will have some stuff in it too, but like I said before, I will be focusing more heavily on the electric section.
What might I be looking at in the DISTANT future?
Hopefully you´ll see a huge and organized database of GSCK resources, with plenty of community customs to go around.
