Bluhman wrote this at least:

Still the same scale:
Initiate - 0
Associate - 100
Acolyte - 300
Zealot - 500
Agent - 800
Exemplar - 1000
Leader - 2000
Royal -3000
Officer is a Mod
Guardian is a Global Mod
Overlord is an Admin
BANNED is the mayor... Er, I mean, a banned dude.

And now, for the new ones:

Sage - 5000
Over 9000! rank - 9001
And of course, there's the mayor.

A couple thousand of my posts dropped off my post count over the years, lol

Hilarious!

Seriously, Charas is suddenly full of pointless posts, and they all seem to be linked to Archem somehow.

This post in itself is just to shoo me closer to Royal status, so I can't talk.

I mentioned that in another thread. "I blame Unmod and Archem"

Somebody (I think it was you) was blaming Unmod for the recent influx of off-topicness and pointless posts.

This post in itself is just to shoo me closer to Royal status, so I can't talk.

This one is taking me one step closer to being an AGENT! :D

I'm not blaming Unmod. I'm just saying that since Unmod came in, everyone seems to drift off-topic faster than before.

Unmod in itself is a very good idea, but people seem to have forgotten to keep the spam there.

Including me, since not only am I off-topic I have created a new one.

That is massively relevant.

Semi-on-topic: 2499th post. Must make next one the awesomest thing to hit Charas ever.

I also blame rank! And unmod isn't the only place where spam is increasing. There's spamming in Off-Topic and such as well.

Unmod sucks, seriously.

I know, I just wish I could figure out why! What the hell am I doing to throw everything for a loop?! I feel bad about it, but I don't know how to stop it!

It's like I carry too much power over the behavior of the masses. What I want to know is how I got this ability to sway people's posting patterns. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm a pattern genius. A "penius", if you will.

Then its settled. We have to destroy Unmod.

"Unmod stays," Uberpwn stated quite clearly, whilst readying his weaponry.

And so began the Charas Civil War...

I'm gonna sit this one out; I've seen what can come of this.

Unmod sucks, seriously.

Listen to him people.

I might leave again. One or two off topic threads are enjoyable nearly all the time, but this place can't even keep a serious conversation anymore.
Hell, I even had to create a serious topic and Archem easily drove that off course.

Seeing at how most threads are going makes me think that GhostClown and carmen weren't that wrong. Sure, they were a bit severe, but they took care of spam. Now lots of threads are going Off-Topic in some way.

Yeah,it's getting to where the only new posts are in unmod.

Then its settled. We have to destroy Unmod.
Lets not get hasty here!We don't need to destroy Unmod that will cause Anarcae,
and then we'd have a civil war on are hands!
We have one Choice..we must let the Mayor decide,it's kinda of her job isn't it?

Perhaps we coulds try to not get off topic outside of unmod. Cause as far as I remember unmod was made for our spamming needs. And something about friendship. I think grandy said something about friendship.

This. Unmod is made for spam and random things which don't really belong anywhere. It's a good idea as it gives people a place to spam and vent. However, people need to remember to leave the spam there, and not let it slip into other threads.

That, or we confiscate Archem's keyboard.

So you can call me fat/ugly/ask me if I'm busy every 7 seconds?

Where's Mid? We need the AoA mods to delete the spam to keep it under control, like Cerebus said, and she's gone AWOL. Moderation is massively required.

Dragonium for mod.

Damn, I should be a mod. I'm bound to get support from SOMEONE.

Yeah, elections to refresh the moderating staff or add new mods would be fun.

This is the part where Gem tells us we're not cool enough to be mods and then Osmose comes in with the NO STOP IT NO ELECTIONS SHUT UP JUST GTFO SRSLY.

I'd love it if Zeek had been a mod all this time and nobody had noticed.

And stop trying to buy my trust. ¬_¬

nah, some of you are cool enough to be mods.
Some of you really arent though. Hence the rampant off topicness.
If im not mistaken there should be a new mayoral election soon.
However, this topic is not titled "Inactive Mods" or "We need more Mod staff"
Its called "Number of posts for a title change"
Lead by example. I guess. I could lock these misguided threads, but that puts me into the same boat as old nazi mods
If you want to talk about this more, id suggest making a thread about it.

Post by: Cerebus on July 24, 2008, 06:44:25 PM
It's true that it's getting Off-Topic, but at least it's not getting full of pointless posts. But it's also true that a new thread would be better.
Also, those Nazi Mods, as you call them, aren't that bad. I think severe Mods can help some time. But maybe more like:
"Warning - If this thread continue to get Off-Topic, it will be locked. Or maybe even deleted."

But that's just my opinion.

And you know, actually... I think you should lock this thread.
The question has been answered.
