Title: How do you to make battle animations in the middle layer...
Post by: Muraiko on August 05, 2008, 03:05:10 PM
Alright, so, in my game, when you attack, I show a battle animation of the character attacking with their weapons. But the weird thing is that whenever he attacks, he's on the upper layer...

Like for instance, If I run behind a tree, the branches and leaves cover him, right? But when I attack, he automatically appears on the upper layer, like, above the trees, and when he's done attacking, he's back to behind the trees, which doesn't makes sense.

So, is there anyway at all, if possible, to make battle animations be kinda be on the same layer as hero, or something like that?

Battle animations automatically appea above eveything except the text box. If you want the tee to cove the peson, you will have to use chasets.

this is one of the things that always bothered me about the RMs
Would it have killed them to put a layer checkbox in there? I mean, seriously...
