Title: Help with SP3
Post by: Almeidaboo on August 08, 2008, 03:53:24 PM
I recently bought a TV/FM capture board (Encore) but somehow I just can't install it's drivers on my computer, which runs Windows SP3. My friend said there's a lot of problems involving SP3 and drivers installing...I looked a lot into it, but I can't find a solution. Anyone got a clue or knows something about a SP3 fix package or something?

Tnks in advance!

I'm confused by all the wods you used, so this most likely won't help, but....

I had touble downloading an update to play SC4 online (it wouldn't load past 25% of the update), but when I took it to a fiend's house it woked on the fist ty.

Of couse, by the sounds of things the intenet isn't you poblem, so this doesn't eally apply.

What, exacly, isn't clear? Well, let me re-explain:

Bought a TV capture "card" (I don't know the right term...board, card, like video card, it's all the same in portuguese...)
Inserted it on my computer.
The computer recognized it.
I tried to install the drivers for that board, card, whatever.
Windows won't let me install it.
Searched the internet.
Found out Windows Service Pack 3 has issues when it comes to driver installing.
Need help.

Dragonium: Nope man, it's a regular driver installing, like put the CD in, install, all good.

Though it was never stated, I'm going to assume you mean Windows XP SP3. In that case, I'd try going to the Encore website (you did say that made the card right) and downloading the latest drivers off of their site. I checked the site and it isn't that hard to navigate.

Personally, I've not had any troubles installing drivers in SP3, but that's just me. I've never used a TV Tuner though, so who knows?
