Post by: silverfang on August 17, 2008, 12:49:51 PM
YOU MUST HAVE RPG MAKER XP RTP INSTALLED TO PLAY THIS!!

http://rapidshare.com/files/139356605/Project_Akura.zip.html

Your Akura a lone bounty hunter and your job is to kill monsters for a living. But the only weapon that you have was the one your trainer gave to you when you where just a kid. After he died. You swore to use his teachings for good so you went off in the word to fight all the evil that been terrorizing your world. Soon after your trainer died monsters suddenly started appear around his grave.

Akura is usually alone (since i have no IDEA how to make team based attack system where the other just runs off randumly killing stuff WHICH would be hot if can be done) Hes only job he knows how to do is kill monsters.

Name:Akura
Age:18
hair:black
eyes:blue
Social Skills: open
Weapon of choice: katana

Do you got what it takes to put those monsters in there place.

-TIP- Press C on your keyboard to attack them.

6 full levels with their own bosses and areas enjoy

Since you seem to be switching projects a lot, I would suggest taking a break from advertising one and just fool around with the various game makers out there. It is obvious that you want to find something cool and make something out of that, but posting a new game everytime you find something new isn't very nice to the people who tried to help you with your previous games. I mean, _JeT_ helped you test your first rpgm2003 game several times, Prpl_Mage helped you get Zelda resources for your second rm2003 game, and now you're making this. It seems like all the work they put into helping you has been wasted because you're still unsure of what you want to make out of your game. Hence, I would do what all great game makers do: Make a small, short, simple game in a maker, and finish it. Once you do that, odds are you will have a very good understanding of how your choosen maker works, what you want to do with the makers, and how your want to go about showing your skills to the public.

I understand ^_^ i do have a problam staying focus on one single thing like game making. one i gave up my zelda game tell i figure out what more to do with it and two people highjacked the topic and it died. and the first game i started. im having serious problems with it. its why i started this one NOT out of disrespect to my freinds. its cause of JeT that i got a usalbe ABS in the first place he showed me how to make it. so i own him.

You stated that you would like a script, which would allow another player to wander around. The closest thing I have come up with, would allow an event to move, and help solve puzzles, and what not. I'm not sure if you could get them to attack, and have it register, or be attacked.

Use the key input processing command, and make it so that when a certain key is pressed, Event <Other Player> moves up, down, left, or right. Just make an up, down, left, right key for the event, and anything else you want. I'm assuming you'll have to do the key event on all maps.

I've never used XP, so I'm not sure if this will work on it.

I'm not interested in a game that took six hours of copy/pasting scripts.

Don't listen to alot of people when they try to put you down, just to your passions. I'll play your demo whenever it comes out.

you should make the fog of war sight bigger, like this:
  O O O
O O O O O
O O O O O
O O O O O
  O O O

also, you need to make menus appear over the fog of war, right now they're on a lower layer. And saving (edit: in the cave only) removes the fog you had cleared, not sure if that's intentional or not.

edit2: just got an error when i hit continue. The music was still playing when i got the error.

Script 'Fog of War 2.0' line 592: NoMethodError occurred.
undefined method 'spriteset' for #<Scene_Load:0x132f4a0>
