Anyone tried it yet? Is it good? Is it not? Is it what?
It's not like I'm lazy to d/l it, it's just that I know nothing about the technical stuff, so my opinion on this is useless.
-
what is it :Huh?:
-
Google's browser...using it right now. Fast and clean...dunno 'bout the rest.
Makes me aware and unconfortable, though. Cause I really feel like Google is starting to own the world.
-
Well I got FF3 last night and it is an overwhelming disappointment.
-
FF3? It's been around a long time, no?
-
Well, I'm not about to trade up until I hear that Chrome is worth it.
Keep in touch, yo.
-
FF3? It's been around a long time, no?
Couple months, but I had to wait until the plug-ins I use were upgraded so I could keep using them.
-
I don't think trading is really worth, just yet. I mean, it looks good and works good, but I get some lags in my PC, dunno why. Plus, let's not discourage Mozilla. Google will take over soon.
-
I dunno...FireFox 3 seems to work well enough for me. Better yet, they save tags! That really helps me out--I've got 11 tags open right now!
Google? More like 'moogle'. <_<
-
Tags? You mean tabs? FF2 saved tabs of you wanted it to.
-
Chrome's got tabs as well. I'm usin it right now, it feels like a big search engine. It's not bad, but also not good.
-
Google Chrome is nice in that it is freaking tiny in terms of memory usage.
Firefox 3 with a few pages open and all my Addons = 100,000 kb of memory
Google Chrome with the same pages open = 8000 kb of memory
It's also quick as a whip. The bad part? Everything else.
It seems barren and lacking in features. The UI is too thin for my taste.
The worst part is that in the EULA you agree to let Google use anything you submit to a website with their browser as they wish. IE they can read what you do with their browser, including emails and other private data.

I'm never using it now.
-
Yes, the deal is dead.
-
I'm clinging to FF3. Especially after that, I'm not switching.
-
What about passwords? 0_o Presumably there's no distinction between them and anything else you input. If they can read your passwords then they could wait a year or so and then use online banking to effectively nick millions of dollars >.>

Is it just me, or is FF3 irritatingly unstable? My computer is fine in terms of memory, and it runs it without any slowdown or CPU issues, but I get problems with FF3 annoyingly frequently.
- Pages don't load. I get 503 errors about 20% of the time no matter what site I'm trying to load.
- Sometimes when I try to run it, it doesn't open for about 15 minutes, then I get the "Firefox crashed" error.
- Why the hell won't my Bookmarks save? I can save them into the Bookmarks Toolbar, but not the regular folder.
- The buttons in this "post reply" box for formatting and such don't work any more. Neither do smileys.
- It seems to be interfering with Windows Live Messenger, too. Whenever I log in I get an error message, apparently from Internet Explorer, saying some scripts didn't run, and then in Messenger windows, pressing Enter won't send messages, which really gets on my tits after a while. It's bizarre, and it's only happened since I upgraded to FF3.
It's annoying me so much that I'm considering downgrading to FF2. It's not quite as shiny but at least it frigging works.
EDIT: I had to post this twice because I got a random 503 error when I tried the first time. ¬_¬
-
I actually haven't had a single one of those problems, Drag. :|
-
I downgraded to FF2. Everything's running fine. No problems. Stupid FF3.
-
I dunno what's up with you, but FF3 works great for me. Definitely better than FF2.
-
I'm reluctant to do anything. I didn't upgrade to FF2 until FF3 came out.
-
FF3 works perfecly.
I'm not switching. Next thing Google people will be here at home analyzing my sex performance and making it a Google Ad at Charas. No tnks for that. The browser is good and all, but not worth my privacy.
Google? More like CIA.

Wow I just realized you guys aren't talking about Final Fantasy 3. >.>
Meh. I stayed with 2. Tried to upgrade to 3, didn't work for some reason. I'm kinda glad it didn't, after reading this...

Hahaha, I love the bluntness in that. No disguised words or anything. :P
Oh and Dom, Final Fantasy 3 crossed my mind first too! Haha.

I doubt that's universal stuff going on. Most people love FF3 compared to FF2. Sure, there are some people with problems, but I've yet to experience one thing inferior.

Firefox 3 antialiases pixel images when zoomed. THIS IS VERY AGGRAVATING!
-
Oh, that. Yeah, that's annoying. I hope there's some way to disable that.

I wondered why everyone's avatars were blurry when I had FF3. I thought it was Charas messing with my eyes. I need glasses.
-
I'm using FF2 and for some reason I can't use the quick reply =P

Do you have things zoomed in or something?
