Title: Copyright Question
Post by: Zerlina on September 25, 2008, 11:02:48 PM
Does anyone know if it's legal (copyright wise) to show stuffed animals of say...chocobos, moogles, or link from legend of zelda, or any of that stuff in a film?

I'm pretty sure you need consent from the original guys, that is... if the film is going to be marketed. I know there are some small holes in Copyright Laws, though... Like you can have up to two (or four...) measures from someone elses song, exactly identical, and have it in your song, with no punishment.

I have another question: Where'd you get a Chocobo or Moogle stuffed animal?

If you're going to sell the film, it is illegal to use marketed characters. If money is not involved, then there is no need to follow copyright.
