Title: King or queen?
Post by: Drace on October 24, 2008, 08:39:07 PM
This is a question that arose when speaking with Red Fox / Momeka. But here it goes.

If there is a king, but he has a vagina instead of a penis, is he then called a king or a queen?
And vice versa too, a shemale queen, is she a queen or a king?

He/she'll probably never make it to king/queen. But I may be wrong...
I guess what's between the legs will determine if it's a king or a queen.

I like the word we agreeed upon. Quing, the perfect word to describe a shemale king/queen. Got a nice ring to it too.

True, true. It mixes king and queen with a sound that rolls of your tongue.

Was it a king who removed his stuff or was it a queen who added something to the collection?

'Cuz back in the midieval age the King's were the rulers because they would knock up some maiden with a prince.
In other word, he had the stuff that would make a son with royal blood.

They only saw woman as hosts back then, the royal blood would be from the man and not the woman.
So having a king without the stuff would be the same as having a refridgerator without power: it's there, looks good, everyone likes it. But as soon as you realise that it's useless - your world falls apart and you better eat all the food inside before it's spoiled... Yeah.

No hier- No good.

It was a question I came across when talking to Red Fox / Momeka that we could find no answer to.

Just to let you know, I'd make a very good queen. DEATH TO ALL!!! *cough* Ahum.

I doubt royal types would recognise a sex change as being legitamate. You'd be a king if you were born a boy and queen if you were born a girl.

Probably.

Transgenders typically wish to be called by the gender they believe they are. If the person wants to be a man, King, if a woman, Queen, and if neither, Monarch.

But yeah, this topic is ridiculous.

I agree with everything that is testy in that post.

Now for my required topic-diverting portion of the post! I refuse to acknowledge a transgendered individual as the gender they want to be. They are always going to be the gender they were born with, but now they have mutilated bodies ("Mutilated Genitals" would make an awesome band name, by the way).

It's not you are actually making topics. This place is dead and can use some activity and humour.

In response to Archem's post, proper sex changes involve hormones and everything and transgender people are getting damn pretty close to the gender they want to be.

It boils down to genetics.  If they have XX, femalular.  If XY, male.  If XXX, that's probably bitch.  If XXY, probably some hideous mutant with Kleinsfelter's, or however it's spelled.  The blood shall tell all, my non-royalty friends.

I think MT is right. That being said, however:

Why not? I know a trans-gender here at school. He lives on a girls floor, which I suppose is due to health reasons or something like that... so yes, I suppose what he was born as applies in that sort of way, but if you didn't know he was a transvestite, you probably wouldn't even question it. He seems like a guy, acts like a guy, etc. Hell, he seems to be more of a guy than some guys I know. So if he put so much effort into that and did a damn good job, why should I not call him a he? I don't see him that much, but when I do, I don't go "oh no should I call it he or she?" because it's pretty obvious what I and anyone should call him.

It's like getting a full-body tattoo to "change your race". Yes, people have done it. It doesn't work, you're still what you were born as. That's why I say what I say. No matter what you do, you're always going to be what you always were. Like homosexuality. You can't stop being gay. Not ever.
Title: Re: King or queen?

Yes, they were. No person would choose to be gay, given the terrible social stigma left by that alignment.

Like homosexuality. You can't stop being gay. Not ever.

You're dabbling in quite a different topic there. Research the topic of "conditioning" in psychology. If someone was determined enough, they could certainly do it, although you're right to a point in that at the core, the person would still be gay. But my point about transvestites is that why wouldn't you acknowledge the sex they present themselves as? There's no reason not to. Changing one's skin color is rather unrelated, but if you wanted to use it as an example, then okay I'll work with it. Anyone that person meets after the skin color change is done will believe them to be that skin color. If you were a person who knew him or her before the operation, then it is essentially up to you what you want to consider them. You may, however, lose a friend in the process (though it can be argued that the person isn't a very good friend if he or she dislikes you for not wanting to acknowledge the "new" them). The same situation here applies to transvestites. I met the person I know as a guy, not a girl, so there is no reason for me to force the idea that he was originally a girl. Hell, he may not have been. Maybe he was born with the wrong parts, like a mix or something.

Yes, they were. No person would choose to be gay, given the terrible social stigma left by that alignment.

This I completely agree with. It simply doesn't make sense to choose something society doesn't support. There are absolutely no benefits to being gay. At all. This is a completely objective point; I have NO sort of homophobia whatsoever. I had a couple of gay friends in high school.

Oh and also lol at gay ads by google: "Browse Photos Now! Join Free! GayCupid.com"

...Hmm...should we bring Saber, A.K.A., 'King' Arturia Pendragon, into this thread...?

Wait, but gay people (some) werent born gay
XD

I think it's plausible that someone would choose to be gay, by the way. It's just not biologically possible.

Aren't those called bisexuals?

Wow, I'm not around for a little while, and these are the kinds of topics I see :p

Anywayz, gay people (some) are very picky on what they're labeled as. My room mate is gay and hate being called bisexual, even though he says he loves having sex with girls 0.o It's too confusing to think about sometimes...

Tell him Drace says that he is a bisexual. Bisexuals like to have both sex with women and men, so yeah. The facts are simple.

Tell him he has Downs Syndrome.

And guys, I am so good at derailing threads. I think I need a trophy.

Sure, go ahead. I dont know who is that, so bringing him in this thread would increase my knowledge.

Plus many middle age kings where gay. Still they ruled over the kingdom and all.

Okay, here I go!

Meiscool, if you're around, feel free to correct--you probably know way more about Fate/Stay Night than I do...

Saber is something of a reincarnate of King Arthur Pendragon, from England. The thing is, it turns out that 'King' Arthur was really a fifteen-year-old girl named Arturia. So, they did the only sensible thing: they let her keep the Excalibur after pulling it out of the rock, but they made her wear armor in public and referred to 'her' as 'King Arthur'. And nobody was the wiser for it.

That said, I did read a (naughty) fan-comic where it was revealed that Saber had another 'sword' she used whenever she needed to be in disguise....

What, the part about the fifteen-year-old being disguised as a man, or her impaling the 'real' Medusa (and, lemme tell you, she DOESN'T have snakes for hair! ^_^) on a 'sword'?

And since arthur/arturia is british, we dont care? Nice logic.

Fun fact: Tolkien theorized that the King Arthur legends were actually French in origin.

I think that if a King had a vagina, it'd be a Queen. If he simply didn't have a penis, well...nobody would HAVE to know, right? He could just steal some family's kid, and have him as a son. If anyone found out, s/he'd just behead the guy.

That, or I'm supposed to sexually harass any female (and occasionally, male) members.
