Title: Friggin' nightmare.
Post by: Grandy on November 10, 2008, 02:46:04 PM
Another one of those.

I dreamed I had a newfound decease, which made cracks in my head. All fine and dandy, but then one of the cracks turned into a hole, right in my forehead, which leaved my brain exposed to the world. I tried to talk my parents to taking me to the doctor(I don't drive) and they were "What, just for that? But that's fine. Next week maybe we go." Meanwhile, a fly entered the hole in my forehead and started walking around my brain, and I tried desesperatly to take it off without touching my brain because I felt I might kill myself.

Then the dream changes a little, and I'm strapped in this chair, with the hole in my forehead still there, and there's this small drill slowly entering it, and I try to struggle to get free before the drill gets to my brain, but I just can't, and then finally I notice there is blood coming out of the hole, meaning the drill reached the front of my brain.

Then I woke up.

thats a hell of a dream
are you at school and doing any test's
we call them
GCSEs are the exams taken by most UK pupils of school-leaving age, and are widely available to all 14–19 students
as that can give messup dream's as you
thinking a lot how you going to do on them
if not doe's head hurts a lot
if so go see your doctor
and say what you see in your dream
he may give you some pills to help you have a good sleep

Keep writting all these dreams down. I can make some awesome horror movies from them.

Yup, I'm at my end-year, and have some heckload of tests to take. I did think it was related.

I don't think it's anything worthy taking pills, though.

That's different. 0_0 closest I get to a normal dream was when I dreamt that I forgot to take my sleep meds and the doctor said that gave me cancer.

You could take Melatonin. It's a natrual chemical made in your brain, it will help. Also sotp playing video games so much. Trust me, it never helps to play 40 hours a day.

I had a recurring dream for a while... I was the red baron, flying over Germany and shooting things and there was this guy on the wing, shooting at me with a bazooka. And the plane exploded and I just fell. Before I hit the ground though I'd always hear "WAKE UP YOU IDIOT"

That sounds pretty kick ***.

The last nightmare I had was really bizarre. I was being chased by two huge spiders, and they suddenly turned into creepy life-sized mannequins. (Because, apparently, they were wizard spiders) And when I woke up, I had a cold chill down my spine. Even though it wasn't very scary. o_o

OH GOD that reminds me of a "horror" story someone wrote in my old CW class.
The main characters were going down a tunnel that was empty on the way down, and somehow opened up into a lakebottom but had no water in it, and they turn around and suddenly there were spiders behind them... and the following paragraphs alternate between them being rats and spiders.

I don't remember most of my dream, but I too had one of those creepy dreams/nightmares.

The only dream part I remember I had quite recently; Me and my step-brother were shot by someone in our house (where I lived before) each in a different room. I survived, but was badly injured, so I feigned death and the guy left the room. I then tried to crawl to go away, but the guy came back, stared at me and shot me again. Then I woke up...

I don't believe in dreams having any signification, but I still wonder why I sometime have these kinds of dreams. However, I try to avoid such questions for I'll probably go insane before I find the answer.

I once dreamt that I was a thief or something. Anyway I was in this Kilika(FFX) styled jungle place trying to get to a shrine or something.
But there are these guards walking around with hounds to guard the roads. Naturally, it's impossible to move outside the roads' boundaries(like in ffx) so I have to move backwards until I found a small road leading behind some hills.
I get into the shrine at night(so the watch towers can't see me) and steals the treasure, but all the torches along the road up to the shrine is suddenly lightened and I'm discovered.
I pull a bamboo pole out of the ground next to me as a hound attacks and is able to fend my attackers of while I'm running fast as hell away from the place on that side road once more.

But then I hear this loud huffing sounds, there are two(2) big-*** wolves running at me, already getting closer after 5 seconds.
I try to increase my efforts when I run right into a tree. The first wolf is just some meters away and I try to get up when I realize that my bamboo stick is broken in half. I grab the two pieces and roll to the side just in time to see the wolf rend the tree.

I'm trying to get up as the other wolf jumps up on top of me with one of its' paws, pressing down upon my torso and leaving me barely able to breath as it slowly lowers it's head to finish me.
But I'm able to grab the bamboo stick next to me and drive it up the jaws of the beast, locking it in place.
But the other one is now joining the party and I grab the other pole and drives it through the torso of the already locked wolf, it wasn't easy but it worked at last.

That's when the wolf joining suddenly turn into a friend of mine and asks me "Do you really have to do that? It's just a game, calm down and stop hurting everyone."
The other wolf who I stabbed slowly turn into my other friend, having half-a bamboostick stuck from his lower jaw into the neck and another one halfway through his torso.

I always have nightmares
That's why I exhaust my mind before I sleep now
Which is why I'm posting at 1:24 am

And because everybody else is, I'm going to post one of my dreams out of my Dream Journal. This dream was one of my nightmares, and I actually woke up, and didn't realize it. I was basically sleepwalking. I'm going to paraphrase it heavily, because it's worded weirdly

I thought I had some disease that made some red corrally-type stuff grow on the side of my face and eyes. It hurt like hell, and smelled like dried blood. I went into my dad's room. He had his light on, had the same stuff growing on his face, and said something that didn't make sense; basically dream-babble. I then went into my bathroom, to look at my face, and noted that the stuff was growing about 4 inches out. I went back to bed, feeling my face, when I woke up, still feeling my face, with my dad's bedroom door open, and the smell of blood heavy in my nose. Scared the living hell out of me, especially seeing as it took me another half-hour to realize I wasn't dreaming anymore.

I've had alot of dreams like that; one I had cracks all over my body with some really thick aloe-type leaves coming out of my body
It was some scary ****, at the time

EDIT: Also worth note is the fact the I am mildly schizophrenic. I see little shadows out of the corners of my eyes, and hear things that aren't there constantly.
Just now I thought I heard some roaring from my dad's room

Man, isn't it crazy how you can be in a nightmare, partially aware that it's just a dream, but constantly get sucked back into over and over. At least that's how it is for me...

Also, a pretty old recurring dream for me is starting off in the dream doing something totally fine, but somehow ending up drowning in water. About 60 percent of the dreams I remember end with me falling in a pool/lake/ocean and drowning for a few minutes. Scariest ****, to me.

I tend not to get nightmares. And when I do they end in a hilarious way. Example:
I had a dream I was being chased by some weird fusion of Jason and Micheal Meyers... he had a knife and a machete and kept killing people while he was chasing me... and then I like turned on him, grabbed a gun from nowhere and said "Gtfo." And yeah...

I don't remember checking the "somewhat fucked up" boxwhen registering here...What it is that happens in here that everyone has got to have a mind problem? Either you enjoy telling people you're sick, or I'm frequenting this mental forum for 4 years!

I mean, wtf? I'm pretty normal here, the only thing I got is hair that refuses to stay tidy! I do have nightmares and stuff, I do talk in my sleep and so on...but who doesn't really?

I remember in that "what sickness you have" or something thread, everyone seemed to be fk'd up somehow...People like to feel sick to feel special, I find that pretty pathetic.

I do wonder how many people with mental problems have ones that aren't self-inflicted somehow.

I'm an insomniac, but that's only because I'm gaming/reading/working/on the computer up until 5 minutes before I go to bed so my brain never shuts down. And any "depression" that I have is because I think too deeply about everything.

The mind is a retarded tool. If you use it too much, it breaks itself and the rest of your body.
Title: Re: Friggin' nightmare.
Post by: Cerebus on November 11, 2008, 11:25:39 PM
I have the same problems. So it seems I do have some, after all... but just like you, it's my fault.
Insomnia because for the same reason as you, but also because I used to sleep at so many various times (ranging from 12:00am to 11:00am, 5:00pm, 9:00pm, etc.) because I, well, had no life. I've started school back, so I'm taking a routine now.
And well depression because I too think too much about anything, usually when I can't sleep. And that sucks, because sometime I think too much because I can't sleep, and I can't sleep because I think too much...

But beside these, no, I don't have any problems. Or at least none that aren't self-inflicted and/or can't be "cured".

Bloody annoying, if you ask me

Anyways on the subject:
I believe I have a self inflicted nocturnal sleep cycle, which sucks. Explaining why I fell asleep at 4:00 am

And I am depressed
Which sucks

Mine's not a MENTAL problem. :p It's more a PHYSICAL problem. And I'm normal outside of occasionally needing an energy drink to not doze off.
Title: Re: Friggin' nightmare.
Post by: Prpl_Mage on November 12, 2008, 08:41:04 PM
I can move objects with my mind and eat 16 hamburgers in 30 seconds.
But I'm completely normal otherwise.

No really, I'm just like you guys. Completely normal.

See Al, I'm not trying to be special or something.

And I had another dream. One of those sick dreams that are far too real to NOT make you wonder if they actually are dreams.

I was being caught in this building. Some girl came in with food(it was like a hospital) so I grabbed the fork from the plate and threatened if she was going to call the guards.
So I get out and realize that I'm in some large skyscraper or something with large glass-windows.
But I need to get out of there, because the servant/nurse was speaking English - I'm a Swede.

I keep walking as I see one of my friends being interrogated by some men in black suits(figures?), so I break in and they pull out these iron sticks and tazers at me.
I fork the first guy in the neck and then grab his stick and beats the guy with the tazer. Before that guy falls - I grab the tazer from him and throws it at the third.
Me and my friend escapes but he tells me that they were asking him these questions about three "special" people.

Apparently these people thought that we were going to kill them and took us into custody to prevent us from killing them. They also wanted to know who we worked for ect.

In the end, after some other ruthless and ice cold murder, we find one of these people. Apparently he cna see into the future and saw us killing him and the other two. And then he laughs at the irony that their destiny could not be prevented. That the fact that he told his superiors about his vision was the very thing that made us kill them.

And yeah. Pretty much ended there.

SEE WHAT THE **** I WAS TALKING ABOUT NOW???

Oh but I wasn't trying to feel special or anything, by the way. I won't go shout everywhere "lol I'm depressed and can't sleep". And there's nothing special about it, because I'm far from being the only one with such problems. And well, it's not really a problem, as it can be "cured". Unlike fruckert's...
And if I did have any "real" problems, I wouldn't post about it, because I'd look like a freak. Just imagine:
"Yo guys, I have tourette syndrome and I hear voices inside my head. Cock."

I had a dream! Where people of every colors were friends!
No seriously, I don't remember every parts of it, but it was something like this:

-I was in the cafeteria of some school that doesn't exist, and for an unknown reason, I had weapons on me. I was talking with the father of some girl I never saw in my entire life, and while we were talking about... something I forgot, he then took one of my grenades, removed the pin and committed suicide. The explosion didn't hurt anyone else, it was probably a cheap grenade. After this, I ran away, and obviously, no one noticed.
[...(part I forgot)...]
The day after, someone, probably a teacher or police officer, gathered some people to talk about this incident, about which I made a joke. I'd like to remember what I said... So then in an instant, we were all back at the cafeteria, writing something (probably what we saw that night) and I ended up telling one of the "teacher" that the grenade he used was mine.
I then went to the washroom to take a sh*t, some other students entered and I woke up.

I'll try to get the meaning of this dream...
I'll bring something I'm not supposed to somewhere, which will cause great pain to someone. I won't care much and will probably make a joke about it. Some time after, I'll probably feel bad and tell someone about it. And then I'll go to the washroom.

Oh wait, I don't believe in such things, it was just one f*cked up dream.

I guess I have insomnia too, but it's definitely self-inflicted gaming, reading, late-night snacking... Really, I should weigh a thousand lbs. If it bothered me much, I'd get more sleep, which is weird, 'cuz I really do love sleep. I rarely remember my dreams, prolly because I fall asleep so late and get up early almost every day.

One of the coolest dreams I can remember having was lucid... or atleast semi-lucid. It was weird, I can not for the life of me remember what I was doing, but I looked up and saw the moon in the sky and suddenly realized I was dreaming. I couldn't really control my dream, but I could control my own actions and was conscious I was dreaming. Sadly, it didn't last long.

Whenever I try to lucid dream, I fail miserably. Though there's been a very few instances where I have accidentally gone into lucid dreaming. I can remember another time I was fighting something and again, realized I was dreaming. I tore the thing I was fighting apart.

My problem with dreams is details. When I wake up, the dream could be fresh in my head, but slowly, details disappear, I forgot the situation, the who, the what, I'm left with only vague ideas of what happened. Kinda sucks, I've had some kickass dreams, can't remember specifics though, nothing.

I've only been able to lucid dream a handful of times. But each time I had complete control over everything. I usually opted to fly, I created an entire city and just flew around it, way up high, and down weaving in and out of the skyscrapers. It was fun. But every time I get this weird sensation of fear, for some unknown reason, and wake myself up to escape it. So they don't last for very long. I wish I could do it more, though..

I had a seriously weird dream last night. It's the sort of weird that's almost impossible to explain. The closest I can come to it is that there were people in a tower or something all competing for their voices to be heard, discussing things and fighting for popularity, but you couldn't actually see or hear anything recognisable. Instead, they were talking though their minds and there were no words, just feelings and graphs and symbols and stuff and even existing was a struggle. Then there was a fire at the tower but the fire couldn't be seen physically; it was more of an interruption into the impossible mind link thing that was going on like the fire was my brain going 'this isn't real'!

I was kinda ill last night so that might explain it. But man...

I had a dream once I was playing Monopoly with a  bunch of villains.. we had the Joker, Darth Vader, Sauron, and Jigsaw all sitting around a table playing Monopoly. Darth Vader kept trying to mind-control people and abuse the Force, the Joker just threatened everyone, Sauron had to ask an orc to do everything for him and Jigsaw kept saying "Let's play a game," and someone would always say "WE ARE."

It was TRIPPY.

About weird dreams...I use to have a really weird one. Sometimes, when I feel really tired and I go to sleep, I dream that I live in a city, a very strange one, with some futuristic things but also with some old looking ones. The most weird thing is that I control what I do and visit some places, like in a real life. I mean...the more I dream with that city the more I know the streets, people, even "friends" in there. The weird thing comes now: In one of those dreams I had I was at "home" getting ready to go out with some people and I didn't know the hour, so I asked it to the mirror next to the wardrobe like if I had been doing it all my life, then the mirror said:
-It's already ten o'clock
I did what I was doing a little faster, found my shoes and then I found a watch with 9:01 on it. Then I said:
-Hey, you're wrong, there is still an hour left.
-I thought you wanted to know your world's time- he said
-What...what do you mean with that?
I felt really strange, what did he mean with that? Like if I didn't know I was inside a dream.
It was so weird I woke up with a strange feeling, went to the kitchen thinking "That was a really strange dream". But there I watched the microwave and, it's clock's time was 10:02
Every month more or less I dream once or twice (with luck) with that city. Weird, uh?

I had a dream where I flew a green gridded on black spaceship in a cube with green/black grids on it. My dream had cool camera views looking at me flying and shooting lasers at other ships. I was shot down and right before I crashed, was woken up.

There was another with free Lego sets. I love Lego.
