Title: Fire Emblem Factory?

Has anyone tried this program?

I'm intrigued, but was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. It's supposedly a make-your-own-FE-style-game engine.

It goes by FE Factory in some places and Tactics Heroes in others, apparently.

The entire script is C++, rather impressive.
But there is no AI apparently and the archer's range is really high.

I suppose you could do great things when the actual game is released though.

Phayre, I love you. This looks so awesome! I have to give it a try. It's kind of funny though, Prpl finaly figures out how to make the scripts to this and they make a simingly superior engine.

Edit: I'm downlaoding now, can't wait to try it out. :D

No no, I never figured it out. I kinda gave up since I noticed how much I needed to know that I didn't.
There is so much that we aren't even close at reading about at the moment. So I better learn some more codes and commands before trying something like this.

Of course, I keep thinking: EMBER SKY: TACTICS. XD That would not work.

I think the RPGMXP project thing that Gem posted for me in the RPG programming would be better suited for a TBS.

The Tactics heroes isn't really that much when you think about it.
Wouldn't be able to work so much on it because of the slow progress, non-existing AI and no battle scenes at all.

Most tactics games are too lacking... They need to re-invent tactical rpgs.

I was thinking once about making a battle system with chrono trigger styled battles, only you can move your characters between actions. Stick a grid in there and add ranges and bam, you have a sweet *** real-time, random battles, tactical rpg.

Black Sigil, which comes out soon for the ds, has something like that. Looks half-decent.
