Because of this piece of awesome:

-
That was beautiful.
-
Christ man, you didnt even make a spoiler tag for that
-
SPOILER TAGS ARE NOT AS AWESOME AS THIS NEW ENDING!!!
-
That's sweet. I hope they make more alternative endings. Not just defeating
Lavos
.
-
With Uncle Rico as an unlockable character? Uhuh.
-
I know for a fact that the new ending
actually ties Crono Trigger with Crono Cross
. I think I might pass on it for now; I'm more interested in finishing Phantasy Star Collection, Dragon Quest IV, and Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns. Once those are finished, I'd have Metal Slug 7, and maybe either TWEWY or FFIV to reckon with. But, yeah, I'd like to have Crono Trigger in my collection at some point.
Also: Princess Debut, so I can finally see how fun it is to be 'tsundere' with people.
Also2: BUT THE WORLD
REFUSED
TO CHANGE!
Best Game-Over screen ever.
-
Pirated it around the 25th last month, just about to kick some Lavos. The new battle style is horrible, first thing I did was switch it to classic.
-
The classic style is just like the Snes version, the new one is just made with the commands on the touchscreen but with an active battle mode like CT has it just makes it more confusing IMO
-
SNES version is like the PS version. Pick a command and that's that.
From what I've read, all they did was add a new dungeon, a few monsters and some extra endings. Nothing special.
And... OMG I WORK AT GAMESTOP NOW!!! YAY?
-
Got it about a week ago.
New dungeon and boss are awesome.
-
FEH.
Chrono games.
I don't like them.
(and can play them for free but SSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!)
-
I never played the PS version too. =(
Download it then?
It's basically the typical FF battle system.
Personally, I prefer Chrono Cross. Battle system was better. I was mad that the fisher dude, Miguel was the hardest one though X.x

Bought it, beat it, wasn't worth it.
Now don't get me wrong at all. Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite 2d game, and it could very well be my favorite game overall. However, I just felt like the additions to the DS version were not enough. I bought it with some hope that it would be a little bit more different than the original, but the monster arena addition was to time consuming, and the lost sanctum addition was to... lame. They made an easy game even easier than the original... it kinda sucks *** when you're fighting Lavos and the most damage he can do to you is 5-25.... Hey, if I don't heal in like 30 rounds I might be close to dying omg.
I dunno. I kinda wish I hadn't used the money on that and went for something else instead.
-
Would never get it if I had to pay for it, but as a pirate its a nice replay and the portability adds more awesome.
-
What do you expect, Meis? The DS is targeting younger people, even though it is for everyone. Most of those games are kid friendly.
-
Most of today's games are user friendly.
Just try to beat some old classics. The trail and error games are quite badass.
Just think about mortal kombat or Tekken 2.
The bots knew what you were gonna do the very moment you pushed the button. EVEN ON EASY.
Play one of today's tekken or mortal kombat on easy and you'll be able to finihs them before they make a single attack.
-
It's not really easier, it's just that now we know how to play and what to expect.
Before the fire user boss, I took off all the parties equip and made them wear Red Plates. Thanks for the healing, Boss!
At least that's how I feel. SURE after visiting the new dungeon you're tons stronger than you were supposed to be, and from there on the game's a breeze, but before that it felt like the original CT. Magus was a pain in the ***, even.
-
Hmm I miss the old games.
-
Games don't make me happy anymore :(
-
That is cause enough for mourning, Meis :'(
-
They still make me happy. Better you than me, I always say.
