It can be any movie as long as it's live action. If you wanted to do killer klowns from outerspace you could lol. Just make sure it's live action and a real movie and you're good to go.

As long as people know who the characters are and they a slightly similar to the movie your going off that will work fine. I'm not going to be the judge of your games, the people not in the contest will be. Do it for the people man! What do they want to see and play?

If it's pretty known to people then I guess it's up to you after that. I would encourage movies that are at least rentable at the video store even if they are some corny horror movie.
It does have almost 2 million views though so I guess it's pretty popular.

I don't know. I know everyone likes movies, and pretty much everyone has seen stuff like 300, but I don't have any friends who watch as many movies as I do, at about 3 per day.

Don't flatter yourself. I'm not Jealous, otherwise i would have asked to be a judge at some point...or in the very least stated an intrest to participate.
From the initial post i gathered that it was originally intended that the judging would be done by the community of participants.
You sure are quick to go on the defensive. Perhaps you should work on that.
If you watch so many films, and youre such a gamer, then wouldnt you be a shoe in for the win, if you were to pull up your sleeves and participate?
Also, I think the biass youve shown in this retort to my own post would pretty much prove that you are incapable of showing objectivity as a judge if somebody you were less-then-a-fan-of (namely myself) were to enter.
I think youve just proven that you are a less-then-stellar candidate for judging anything.
Im not entering. STRICTLY because drace is a judge. Which is a shame, because i happen to have a bunch of resources i made a few weeks back along an indiana jones theme, for 2k3 and XP. I guess Ill have to keep the project to myself.

If you make a good game, I'm going to give you the credits and points you deserve. If you wish to not enter because you are afraid of this, don't. Enter, I will judge fairly.
Also, I've proven I'm not a good candidate for judging, why? Because I don't like you? Bullshit.
And to me not entering, I'm simply not doing it. I'm lazy, I haven't worked on anything for three years and I'm rather fine with judging.

I wont be using my project to enter this. Perhaps if there is another one at a later time, Ill post my demo. For now, Im doing some 3-d renders of in-game stuff, and its pretty time consuming. I really dont want to rush this project. I am also waiting on an update to the primary battle script.

Oh it was a puke-fest where I was. Well, no one puked. There were six people in it, me and my girlfriend included. We we're on the second row from the screen and it's a small room. So I had to look away a few times to no puke.

Huh. I have the same problem. I might be worse though, I can't stand watching videos of people getting messed up bad to the point of blood or severe damage. Like the grape lady, I couldn't watch that for a long time. I'd get mad when my friends played it, they knew I hated it.

I just got an idea, and I thought I might throw something together with my remaining 12 or so days. It may not be the best entry, but I will aid the contest by participating.
I might make a very loose interpretation of Groundhog Day that has nothing in common with the movie but the basic concept. I will use probably RTP-only graphics.
