Title: Question about Microsoft Office, Not sure this goes here.
Post by: coreystranick on January 12, 2009, 12:46:26 AM
Ok, I have Microsoft office on one of my other computres and don't have 300 dollars to buy a new copy for my labtop.
So instead I just copied all the files and such over. The problem is that once I copied over all the files they won't open.
Like I click on the Word application and it comes up that the operating system is not configured for this application, how would i fix that if possible

Not possible
I'm pretty sure that Office works off of the registry, so you can't just copy files over
Plus that's extremely illegal

My advice: OpenOffice.org
It's just as good, but free
