Chinese Newyears!

I'm not sure how the date system works exactly, but there is a big festival today here on campus, so I assume that it's newyears, year of the OX.

Isn't Chinese newyears at the end of February when the calander was supposed to end?

They need to learn to count! By God, I've never thought that, with all those math stereotypes, any chinos may have trouble counting!
