This kind of sounds like Capcom's KH to me. Then again I have never liked the Megaman series.

From that story I can tell that this is easily going to be a giant mess. Epic my foot, most of these ideas never work out, and I shall go into the reasons why.

Features:

-35 playable characters including a Party room to change your party members
At least you didn't say 100. Do you notice that games in the actual industry don't have such a high number of main characters? It is way too hard to create a balance of many different characters with different situations without the audience loosing complete focus or care for each character. Keep your amount of main characters small.

-500 items of weapons and armor including some that can never be taken off
Never be taken off? Sounds rotten and limiting if you ask me. Again with your habit of big numbers, there is no way you can complete this in within less than a year if you do this.

-2000 enemies of Namco and Capcom foes including Mavericks and 3 secret bosses!
Honestly, did you simply choose a bunch of big numbers without considering the work you will have to do? Sure, you should have a variety of enemies to fight, but don't go this overboard.

-The Ultimate Armor for X, find Dr. Light's capsules and assemble the Ultimate Armor!
This can actually work. Heck, you could just make THIS the single "legendary" armor of the game and work it out.

-Zero's past will finally be revealed!
Hasn't it already been revealed? He was created by Dr. Wily when the design of X was stolen by him. He was intended to be an evil robot containing a virus that preserved Wily's evil mind and passed on to Sigma. I don't really see a big mystery in that, it's one of the worst kept "secrets" of the series.

Well, sir, I am convinced that you spat this out with no consideration of the amount of work/ridiculousness this sounds. Stick with this idea (that is if you work consistently), and I bet you'd be working on this game for about 3 years, when your game probably doesn't look that good to you anymore and looses the interest of any fan it may have. Seriously, dude, keep it simple. :/

Let me be honest... this sounds terrible. The title screen would have taken 3 seconds in paint, and the plot sounds like something a 9 year old fanboy would through together.

...I know im a prick.

This sounds like a big ripoff of namcoXCapcom or whatever its called seriosly Kos-mos and shion and Mo-mo?
and what is with evryone and going crazy over street fighter people just because something has street fighter doesn't mean its cool
Mavericks is better than this even the MMX flash games

I hate to say more harsh words, but honestly, this doesn't sound all that great. Crossovers seldom work well outside of fighting games, with a few rare exceptions, such as KH. And those numbers are very unrealistic. I suggest if you want to make a decent Mega Man X RPG, as that idea in itself has some potential, get yourself some practice with rpg maker first, and realize what is and isn't realistic, then re-think your story and try again. I'll wish you luck.

Holy ****! I can't wait for you to finish this! I can't get enough of Mega Men. I wish they'd make another 20 plus games of pretty much the same damn thing! ...  -_-

over and over and o...

There's really nothing to say that hasn't been said. Ratty nailed it... in a very blunt mean way, but he nailed you hard. But go ahead, give it a shot.

dont mix your mythos.
it only ends in fail.

Contrary to popular belief, KH was a bad idea, and so is this.

If you are going to do anything with Megaman anything, it should stay with megaman

and if you ask me, id say ignore everything that happened from megaman 7 onward...with the exception of MM9

I agree with all of that statement...although KH, being a bad idea, somehow ended up working really well
Probably the gameplay

And seriously dude...super omega crossovers that make no sense whatsoever are not a good idea
It would be like making Halo with a PacMan cameo...it just wouldn't work

Ugh... KH drove me insane.

But on topic, take it from a guy whoose been down this road, trying a super cross-over, it never ends well. I tried a Super Smash style one, and it ended in horrible failure.  Also take it from a guy who made a game with 21 characters, it's just not possible to manage everything from balance to unique design and personalities.

It's more rewarding, in my opinion, to make an original game than to do a cross-over. Trust me. The only kind of 'cross-overs' I do now are either my own characters from one of my two games (One Zelda-style, the other an RPG) and small cameos from other RPGs. (I'm talking about secret stuff that has no real relation to the story. More of a bonus than anything.)

Please don't take that too hard. I don't mean for it to be. But take it as advice from someone whoose been there.

Add megaman X's Storm Eagle stage, and I'll agree with you. And Armored Armadillo. **** it, just add in all of megaman X.

But don't misunderstand me, ignore megaman X2 and beyond. The first X is the only good one.

No man....
I only approve of megaman 1-6, +9

everything else was pretty much desperate corporate tinkering.
And the idea behind the MMrpg for PSX was good, it was just poorly executed

better yet, remember these words...

Fangames are a bad idea.
