I need some help. Whenever I try to import a Charset, BattleCharset, or anything for that matter, I get a pop up that says "Invalid Color Depth."
I tried saving one BattleCharset as a "16-Color Bitmap," which made the image lose almost all of its colors, but it imported successfully.
That won't quite cut it for me, however. I need all of the colors for the sprites, obviously...it looks worse than 8-bit otherwise.
Also, whenever I download certain resources, the image itself has a color limit; I can only use the colors that are already present in the image. However, these Sets import successfully, without a problem... so, maybe, I just need to figure out how to make my Charsets limited in color?
So, I need one of two things:
1. I need to import my Charsets without getting an "Invalid Color Depth." error message
2. I need to figure out how to limit colors on my Charsets to what colors are already present
To anyone who understands my problem, PLEASE help.

You are getting these errors because RM2k, RM2k3, and I think RMXP can only read 256 color depths. You will have to look up how to change this setting in whatever program you are using to edit the images in.

I only use Paint.EXE for sprites. How would I go about "looking up how to change this setting?"
