I'm sure there's a topic out there about this. But I was wondering if it was possible to lock a game made in rm2k/3 so that players would not have access to the files and would not be able to open it in the maker.
I'm pretty sure every game maker out there using rm2k/3 would be interested in doing this.

I can't imagine you'd want to. If you need a bug fixed after the game is released you're pretty much fucked.

Well, I wouldn't lock my folders without a way to open them. Like a password. This way, I could even lend the password out to you guys, but other people wouldn't be able to just make their character ridiculously strong. But if someone wants to ruin the game play by messing with character stats, I guess that's their prerogative. It would just be a neat thing to do.

There's a RPG Maker utility that allows you to lock the project, but I'm not so sure about the files. I can't link to it, since I believe that the site has an RPG maker download, but if you google RPG Maker utilities, you should be able to find it.
However, it is not undoable, so like Lucas_Irineu suggested, back it up.
