What?
I thought
4kids being the devil
was common knowledge.
-
It is.
But if that's from an actual episode, it's very awesome.
-
I knew it! Though yeah, 4kids is already known to be evil.
-
It is, in fact, from an actual episode.

No way! XD That is awesome!

This is funny ****. But it's still ****. Listen to anything you record yourself a bunch of times backwards if you're a musician and you're bound to find something subliminal.
-
But this seems to be pretty blatant. XD

The default playback is reversed, man. Thus, a reversal of a reversal should be legible words.
I'm surprised they let that pass. I guess it's just a funny, subliminal prod. Eh. XD

If you watched it with your ears, you'd understand...
-
Yeah, it's definitely intentional. If it weren't, it wouldn't be so clear - if you listen to, say, the section of Stairway to Heaven that supposedly talks about Satan, the "words" are unclear and can be interpreted differently. But I've seen several videos of the backmasked section from Pokemon, and it's always the same words.

Exactly, it's perfectly clear. Not "eeeeyyyuuuu" stuff.
-
It's definitely intentional. I can imagine I wouldn't be to happy as an animator (or whoever else involved), being caught in the snare of Fox's Saturday morning programming...
-
Wasn't Pokémon on the WB?
-
My statement still holds. Listen to enough stuff backwards and you'll hear something "intentional".
-
But this one is actually clear as day. Seriously. I'm convinced you still haven't listened to it.
It's also quite clear that the audio played while watching the episode forwards is backmasked.
-
Yeah...obvious as all hell
-

No, it's intentional. Your statement fails. You fail. Your dog fails. Your mother and father fail. And your lawnmower fails. Your friends do not fail because they probably know better. Game Over.
But seriously, it's legitimate backmasking. I know my sounds and THAT is backmasking for reals. Otherwise the message would have oddities to it, and there are none. It would sound distorted. No distortion. Look, I've played with sound long enough to know this stuff, it doesn't take a genius to realize it's actual backmasking.
If your still not convinced then your... well your obviously got no knowledge in the matter. :3
P.S. STOP FAILING! >_<

*snaps fingers* Got it. Trolling. Done.

Yup. Obviously. Otherwise I really worry about him.
-
Paul is dead.
-
Lol. That's not really backmasking though.
-
I'd be interested if there was any research that shows whether or not backmasking actually has any effect at all on people. I mean, people get all up in arms when they hear "satan" in a backwards song, but, seriously? Does the human mind have the capacity to subconciously flip the sounds it hears? It seems to me like it wouldn't.

ok, not really

My thoughts exactly.

But there is! Don't you go to church?!
HEATHEN!!
On the flip-side of the post, it's easy to find "Satan" in a song, since the word "there's" backmasked is phonetically similar to "Satan".
Just don't say "there's" in your song, and you'll be fine.

I heard nothing
He says "Satan Eats Cheez Whiz."

ANIMATORS DONT RECORD SOUNDTRACKS

Don't all attack the new guy at once.
While he's wrong about this instance (because people CAN do stuff ON PURPOSE omg) he has a point about the human mind's ability to hear what it wants to.
-
I don't even know how you could think that.
It's pretty easy to pick out speech which has been digitally reversed.
What I'd like to see is a voice actor's recorded line being reversed, then that actor repeatedly listening to the reversed line until he can mimic the backwards sounds, then re-recording that for the tape.
I don't know, I think of bizarre projects.

Either way, I wasn't implying that the animator was responsible for the secret message. I was just saying, I'm not surprised that they would put it in there.
EDIT:
I don't even know how you could think that.

I've actually thought of that exact idea before.

Me, too, but I'm waiting until I have a situation where someone wants my voice recorded.
Here's hoping I end up forming a famous rock band! *waves drum sticks around, at least one of which is upside down*
