Man, the requests forum finally gets up and running nicely again and you 'tards have to muck it up with your trolling nonsense. I've been trying to be the good cop and keep thing civil without threats, but nooooooo. This is why you can't have nice things! So, since apparently nobody respects anything but force, I shall use force.
From this point onwards, the Requests forum is under martial law.
1) Anyone trolling threads in this forum shall be in violation of the martial law.
2) Anyone posting multiple requests threads for the same request shall be in violation of the martial law.
The penalty for violating martial law is a one-day ban.
I know who the good people in this forum are, the people that are asking and answering requests politely without causing trouble. Those people have nothing to fear.
There is no appeal process. The moderators are your judge, jury, and executioner.
This policy shall continue as long as it needs to. Hopefully won't be very long before I make my point. It will be reversed after that if the forum calms down on good faith.
This is your first, last, and only warning. No private messages shall be sent. Just ban.
Try me. Come on, do it!

Might I also add that if your request has been fulfilled, don't start an off-topic discussion in the thread. It's served its purpose. The should-we-shouldn't-we controversy about going off-topic in All of All is understandable, but in Requests it's just downright silly. Requests is for requests, not discussion of meat produce. Just stop posting.

As much as I don't like Sai as our Sumpreme Emporer I agree with her on this one. Although I think we should ban Trymaker and save a lot of time.

By power only. Being Mayor means that people actually voted you in because you made them see your point of view. I've been a power hungry politician since high school.

This applies to the request forum only I hope....not that it matters terribly...what you dudes say pretty much goes.
Because if somebody is posting a game idea in the appropriate forum, its a bit silly to think people would get one-day-bans for posting Critique and Criticism
I think it would help new members ACTUALLY read the rules (cause face it, they dont) and ABSORB them if this was ACTUALLY enforced.
And it would probably make asses like myself hold their tounges a little longer then normal.

Critique and criticism is fine. It's okay to say you think something someone did isn't any good. It's not okay to rip on them or a game they haven't even posted anything about just because everyone else is doing it.
I'm actually very tired of this routine of "I have a request" then "LULZ NO!" and basically troll him or "Put Pikachu in there!" making obviously bad suggestions and patronization. That is trolling.

If I point somebody in the direction of a starting point, and tell them i have no intention of doing the work FOR them, but will gladly offer advice and links to tutorials, and tell them ways to make the resource in question themselves, and ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING, then yeah, Ill shoot my mouth. I fully anticipate a ban for this honestly.

SOme of actually are glad to help people that are willing to roll up the sleeves and post their attempts. I dont understand why we dont have a policy along the lines of "TRY THE GENERATORS BEFORE REQUESTING CRAP"....after all.....charas' whole foundation is the generators....its a forum for a charset generator. I dont see Charset request forum on the mainpage. I see some links to a program that AUTOMATICALLY fills requests for things like White haired black ladies from the Xmen.
This dude could have easily made a similar charset, and posted his progress....asking for a recolour....or editing help. but he didnt. he put no effort whatsover into it.
Im not trying to rant. I know I am a douche, and could stand to be less harsh. I know my **** stinks, and i know i could conduct myself better. I know that 70% of the time im pretty much a forum troll. But on the same note, 95% of requests these days seem to not have any thought or effort. They seem to think we are there to serve peoples random whims.
We should just have a Common charset requests forum, or page or something. I would gladly spend a couple of hours with the generator, MSpaint and editing things, if it means putting an end to requests that have disrespectfull undertones.
This is all TLDR. Not trying to stir drama. Just trying to articulate my thoughts regarding this matter.
Im going to try to set an exapmle, and STFU more. On the otherhand, if this "MARTIAL LAW" is enforced even after the inevitible BAAAAAWVAGINA fest is over {which i doubt will happen} I certainly hope that its carried out in an unbiassed way. It seems to me that in regards to this sort of thing, the offending established members are persecuted more then ignorant newcomers who simply dont read the rules, or put effort into their projects. As such, I believe such ignorance warrants a bit of berrating. But then again...who am I?
Like I said, Ill just STFU more....set the example.

I know what you mean but people have to understand that being a jerk to a jerk is just like putting fuel to the fire. There are sites that hail such behavior and even make mods out of the ones who do it the most but those places are poorly managed and such. I can't remember the name but there's a Bleach fan-forum that has mods that could classify easily as trolls.
The reason I bring this up is because it doesn't help matters but serves only to exasperate them. I know everybody is weary of it and so am I but you have to admit that this does not help either. Though I blame myself for letting this go on as a behavioral norm than speaking out against it...

Well I'm not actually going to perma ban. But the time will get so long that you'd be spending a week off the forum for every hour you're on.

Trolls are people on the internet that intentionally go out of their way to arouse arguments either by playing dumb, using controversial topics, or just plain spamming.
Also fighting with respected members/admins and mods.
It's also harassing and stalking select users, thus individual trolling.
